Why Sue Goldsmith chose Portland

Location, location, location! After living in the country, when our children left home, we downsized and moved in to the city. We fell in love with the charm of our Victorian building and being in Portland, where everything is convenient and exciting!

Great apartment for small group stay

  • 5 of 5

Chic is the best way to describe this apartment. My husband and I along with our two teenage daughters stayed comfortably here while we visited the Portland area. The rooms were comfortable and clean and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back! The location is great and you can easily access the city and the harbor nearby.

Cute apartment in great neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a week following Memorial Day, and had a great time. The apartment was cute and cozy, and in a great neighborhood, just a block from bars and restaurants on Congress St but quiet in the evenings. Portland, as always, was a ton of fun! Sue and Barry were fantastic hosts and gave us great recommendations for stuff to do and places to try out. We'll be back!

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is simply lovely and the owners are so gracious and kind. It was very clean, which is very important to us, and had an incredible location, in the walking distance to the downtown area. We had the best time and I would highly recommend it! Would stay here again, 100%. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Beautiful little apartment in a great location of Portland. Welcoming and helpful owners!

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is adorable, well outfitted, beautifully appointed and in a great location; easy walking distance to many great restaurants, music venues, pubs and shops. We were very comfortable and totally loved our little vacation in Portland! The owners, Sue and Barry, are just delightful - they were so welcoming, informative, and had even left little goodies for us to enjoy - including great coffee, cream, chocolate, and blueberry jam. We highly recommend this apartment and look forward to another stay sometime in the future!

Absolutely 5plus stars!

  • 5 of 5

My daughters, Ramona and Rebecca and I spent an entire week in this fantastic apartment in the heart of everything that is Portland. I agree with all the other posters that you couldn't find two greater hosts. Barry even drove us around the city one day so we could get our bearings, since none of us has a good sense of direction.

I had been to Portland a number of times before. My family vacationed on Cliff Island and Great Diamond for 3 or 4 years and always made excursions into Portland. But we never really saw it the way we did this time around.

The apartment is in the greatest location, close to everything. We did a lot of walking and a lot of eating and a lot of shopping. All great.

You must visit the PEI Portland Museum of Art and be sure to check out General Grant's statue, which was a "reject". How lucky for Portland to have it.

We can't really add anything to the review since so many have already articulated how we felt about this apartment and the owners. We would just be redundant.

Take our word for it; you will be happy here.

Sue, we listened to the CD on the way home. It is wonderful. You are a special lady and you both are a special couple.

Enjoy Portland in the wintertime. I'll bet it is absolutely beautiful.

Thanks for everything.
