Why Bob Kemp chose South Lake Tahoe

This property was purchased by my Parents in 1968 as a Vacation/Retirement home. They loved this place, as it was their little getaway from the pressures and stresses of everyday life, living and working in the Greater Bay Area. San Jose in particular. When my Parents passed away a few years back, the Cabin became ours. I vowed to keep this cabin in the family for future generations to enjoy as a rememberance of Bob and Shirley Kemp, my Mom and Dad.

Great stay!

  • 5 of 5

What an awesome little place to stay. Bob was great about letting us know the information we needed before we arrived. The house was clean and well stocked for our needs. It is so close to a beautiful meadow and the lake. We really enjoyed strolls around the neighborhood. There was a ton of wildlife including a wild bunny in the yard, a coyote in the meadow, and even a brown bear strolling the neighborhood checking out the garbage cans! (that the neighbor across the street came over and let us know about) The kids were thrilled.

The house itself is a wonderful little cabin, bordering on vintage and just full of charm. Not glamorous, but homey and worth every penny of it's relatively low cost. The yard was great for our dog, and even came with a pooper scooper...even the yard was well stocked!

We hope to stay here again!

Very cozy home in Tahoe

  • 5 of 5

Bob was very prompt to respond to any and all questions we had. The pictures don't exactly give the home justice, it's adorable and well decorated inside. This home was the perfect fit for my husband I. We took long walks each morning and all of the neighbors were very friendly. The location is wonderful as well, very conveniently located near the hot spots in Tahoe. Bob does supply the home to make it comfortable for the guests. Overall, a wonderful stay and we are excited for our next visit to this home.

Cute & Close to everything!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is super cute. Located about 8-10 minutes from Casinos, the outlet mall, emerald bay. The owner is amazing, answered all of our emails. We left a dog gps collar charger in the kitchen, we were able to get it mailed back. The owner lets you ride 3 bikes. We used the mountain bike and the pink bike. You can go on a 5 mile bike ride to Richardson camp ground, theres a beautiful beach you can walk or ride too. There was lots of snow when we were there but the roads were clear. The hikes and walks were kind of blocked and you definitely need snow boots or shoes. Everything you need is there, all you need to bring are steaks, beer/wine and some sacks. The house stayed warm with the stove, the water was perfect for two people to shower. You have to yelp all the places close by, we tried Sprouts, McDuffs Pub, and Schoneys BBQ.. they were three of our most favorites. A lot of breakfast places close at 2, so you gotta wake up early or make your own breakfast :) Theres is a Dennys, and a few grocery stores located about 1 mile away. Small families with kids or a couple with a dog will love this place. We had a blast. Thank you so much Bob!

Warm and comfortable for Christmas in Tahoe.

  • 5 of 5

We needed a last minute rental in Tahoe for Christmas so we rented this cabin. Although it's small it had everything we needed for our stay and was located close to the store and town. Beds were comfy. Plenty of extra blankets and sheets. The Wii had a few good games to play and the rocking chair came in handy when my 3 month old (at the time) would wake up and fuss. I would rent this cabin again!

The only complaints would be that the bedroom doors had to be open to get heat and the backdoor by the washer and dryer was either stuck or doesn't open. The hinge lock wouldn't budge.

Fabulous Cozy Cottage

  • 5 of 5

It's our third year in a row coming back to this cozy little two bedroom home. When you walk in your instantly feel like your at home. It's quaint, but has all the amenities you need. The owner is a pleasure to deal with and responds quickly. Our girls love the yard and always have a fabulous time using their imaginations. This year we had snow to play in! We will definitely return again next year :-)

Great place for 2-4 people

  • 5 of 5

The house was cozy and warm, even during a big storm one of the nights. The neighborhood was nice and quiet but close to everything like restaurants and shops. It took about 10 minutes to drive to Heavenly.

We brought our two small dogs with us, and they got to enjoy the snow in the backyard.

We would stay here again.
