Was not happy with the overall cleanliness or condition of the property

  • 2 of 5

Although liked the location of the property, we were not very happy with the condition of the property when we arrived. It was very musty smelling when we walked in. The bath and bed linens were not very clean and had to wash them before using them. The overall cleanliness was poor. Carpets need cleaning, the LR furniture was dirty and some of it tore up. While walking out on the back deck my foot went thru the deck because of rotten wood. There was a kitchen drawer front that was broken off and just stuck in the drawer. The kitchen counter is swelled up at miter joint. Pictures on the wall that have broken glass in them. All the window screens are tore up. The blinds are nasty looking and the vertical blind in main bedroom was missing about 1/4 of the slats. For what we paid per night for the property we got cheated.

The access to the beach made this trip amazing!

  • 4 of 5

We loved having a private home. The location was close to grocery, restaurants, kayaking, kids lagoon, and shopping. We practically had the beach to ourselves the entire week. The house was cute and had everything we needed to cook. The bathroom fixtures needs replacing asap. The sprayer on the kitchen sink did not work, but it wasn't a big deal. The lock on the front door needs to be replaced. There is a hole in the upstairs window screen. We loved the balcony and the view it provided! If your focus is the beach, easy access and close proximity to so many family adventures then this location is wonderful! We made a lifetime of memories!

Cute but needs Renovation

  • 2 of 5

This is a cute little cottage with an incredible view however, it needs repairs and extensive renovation. It had a strong musty odor as if it had been closed up for a very long time. There are numerous water stains on the wood wall and ceiling panels. Maybe this is part of the musty odor. The carpet, kitchen appliances, countertops and bathroom fixtures need to be replaced. The blinds are ancient and damaged in places. The front door knob and bolt needs to be replaced. The HVAC makes a lot of noise akin to a train passing by while its on. Exterior painting would also help though I would suggest getting the exterior inspected for needed repairs as well. Overall, this place looks like it has been neglected for a long time. Its like stepping into my grandmother's old house in the 1970's. Some updates, repairs, and renovation could make this an awesome little cottage.
