Dolphin View A July 2017

  • 2 of 5

The location of Dolphin View A is outstanding!!! We were pleasantly surprised to see a few upgrades had happened to the unit since the online photos were taken. The pool was a great accessory and alternative to the beach when you want to be close to the house. The weather was great for our entire stay.

If there had been a 2.5 star rating, I would have given it 2.5 and that would be up from a 2 because of location and pool. I would like to start this part by saying that Kaiser was really good and accommodating of any request we had for things within the unit that needed replacement or fixing. I always feel bad calling because i do not like to complain and there are many things i can fix myself.

Why a 2.0? If you look at previous reviews you will find mention of a drain in the lower floor tub needing work, well it still needed the work and after a phone call it got fixed on day 2, along with a shower curtain liner that was covered in mold. (The common theme might have to do with the cleaning crews lack of attention to detail) The downstairs bedroom reeks of mildew, and yes I am aware that we are on the coast and there is moisture associated with living on the coast, however the rest of the unit did not have this issue. I believe the smell was coming from the closet in the room. The cleaning crews use it to store cleaning supplies and the vacuum cleaners (which I believe are the culprits). We chose to keep it closed and the smell was manageable. same room, when going to bed on first night, noticed the comforter was completely soiled, tried to wash it and it fell apart. Kaiser replaced the very next day.

Our guests found the same issue upstairs int he other king bedroom, the comforter was soiled, yet put on the bed for use. This one was washed and able to use for the remainder of the week.

We have same comments on upgrading pots and pans, but not a huge issue. The new flooring must have been replaced by the lowest bidder.

Outside: The pool while great, hasn't been power washed this year and has mold all over the walking surface where water pools. I bought a shop broom from Walmart and tried to help the situation, since our daughter is allergic to mold. The wooden railings are pretty dangerous all over the boardwalk and the stairs. Please heed this advice and do not use them for stability, as you will end up on ground. The online picture looks as if the stair railing have been replaced, but i believe it to be an old pic.

Beach Vaca June 2017

  • 3 of 5

The beach was so close. Literally 100 steps from the back door which was perfect. The pool was very nice and refreshing especially for the young children in our group. However, the beds were not too comfy. They all needed a mattress topper which would have helped quite a bit and the living room furniture wasn't too comfy either. We still had a good time and enjoyed the stay.
