About the property

120 sq meters,1 bdr ground floor apt - Sleeps 4 . private garden -WiFi available

Driving along the same road once travelled by Battista Sforza on her way to meet her future husband, Federico da Montefeltro, which is to say the road that connects Tuscany and Le Marche, you are surrounded by rolling hills that appear to almost touch the Appenines and the Three Peaks of the free Republic of San Marino. Located 6 km from the centre of Urbino and 10km from Urbania, the old Casteldurante, Ca’Imelde overlooks this breathtaking landscape. The house, of recent construction, has been built with local stone and old bricks to reflect the local tradition. The ground floor apartment, 120 sq meters, includes living/dining room area with a large working fireplace, kitchenette, one bathroom w/shower, laundry room, 1 bedroom with a queen size bed, and a queen size sleeping sofa in the living room area. The large patio doors open up to two porticos with eastern and western exposure: a perfect place to enjoy your breakfast or to unwind at the end of the day. Pets are welcome. Subject to availability, we offer guides for trekking, mountain biking, as well as yoga sessions and guided tours of the historic centre of Urbino, UNESCO site since 1998. Bus stop just a few hundred feet away

Dream house on a hill near Urbino

  • 5 of 5

The location 5 km from Palace Duvall, the park like setting on a hill with a view of San Marino, the roomy perfectly clean and meticulously organized first floor unit for 2 people with kids. We wish we stayed much longer to breathe the quiet mountain air and enjoy Urbino, San Leo (with the best views in Italy per Umberto Ecco) and other largely tourist free small towns in the vicinity all the way to Adriatic Sea. You need to have a car and be willing to cook your meals from amazingly good local food supplies in Urbino. We did and enjoyed a marvelous experience with history, art, and gastronomy.

Excellent property and wonderful host

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights and give it a 5 star rating. The owner Ana Rita was most gracious and charming and went out of her way to make our stay so comfortable and homey. She even baked us homemade bread! She knew that we are Argentine tango dancers and introduced us to her friends who were traveling to

Pesaro to dance in a milonga and arranged for them to take us with them. She helped organize some great ideas for outings. Without her knowledge and help we might have missed going to incredible places like San Leo. We definitely recommend highly this rental Benna and Danny

Owner's Response: I'm sure they were the perfect guests at Ca' Imelde...interested to Italian Renaissance History and our habits and tradition over Marche Region. It was a real pleasure to spend some time together: sharing feelings, drinking and eating some specialities, enjoying just the moment we know each other

Peaceful. Beautiful.

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at Ca' Imelde for six (6) divine days. Anna Rita is the most wonderful woman. Interesting, helpful, cheerful, entertaining. Everything!

The accomodations were beyond grand. The spacious apartment allowed us so much freedom. It was

immaculate. It was furnished beautifully. Anna Rita shared an evening on her veranda, which was delightful.

She went with us to tour Fredrico's Palace, which without her would have been meaningless.

To not stay here is your loss.

Grazia, Anna Rita

A real paradise on earth

  • 5 of 5

if you're looking for a relaxing holiday, a period devoted to nature, yourself and to the culture ... this is the right place. Annarita is a wonderful woman, always helpful and very friendly. the location is exciting especially at sunset ... so really recommend it. I think it's an experience to be repeated at least once a year.

We enjoyed the hospitality and spacious apartment

  • 5 of 5

We were very content to find that nothing in the description was exaggerated. Our personal highlights: The view across the landscape, the possibility to also enjoy the garden and the beautiful furnishing of the apartment, as well as the cosy fireplace. It's a peaceful getaway. The owner, Anna-Rita, cares very well for her guests and also speaks English. If you are interested in cultural and gastronomic insider tips she's the one to go to. We definitely recommend a stay there.
