Have you ever wondered how Newyorkers really live? Come stay in a confortable private home in the heart of the East Village, where Toni or Myself are there if needed. Wake up smiling in the city that never sleeps... surrounded by unique bars, cafés and restaurants that characterise the neighborhood.Let us be your home away from home and get into a New York State of Mind, because we'd love to share with you what the city is about. We provide all essentials (bed, bath & kitchen), a/c or heating, TV and WIFI... Pets are generally not allowed. we love receiving small and large groups and families... If you can't walk up stairs can stay on the ground floor (one with a private garden, one where Andy Warhol lived) I will be happy to work with you to make your stay confortable! because We love it when you love it.

About Irma Fubiani

Originally from Mexico, I have lived in the US, Canada and Europe. I love traveling and spend a lot of time in France, where my family is currently based.

Why Irma Fubiani chose Manhattan

The building was built in the late 1800s and has a rich history. It was owned in the 1960s by Paul Morrissey who made movies with Andy Warhol during their time hanging out in the Village. It is not a secret that Warhol used to work with Morrissey on his many movies, and the ground floor of the building was a makeshift movie and editing studio. We have tried to leave many parts of the building in its original state to remind people of the history.

Our philosophy at 6th Street is very simple. We want to give you the most authentic experience of what it feels like to live in New York City with the ups and downs of the East Village. We are not perfect and we do not offer luxury but we do take pride on confort, cleanliness and that we are family friendly. Each apartment has its own unique style in the kind of cool classical hippie. We have no intention of turning the building into an expensive place that caters to the wealthy or a five star luxury hotel. On the contrary, we welcome normal friendly people who appreciate a genuine New York building over wealthy aloof clients any day of the week. What we never compromise on is your safety and a warm desire to help you enjoy your stay. Furthermore, to ensure that we deeply believe in this philosophy, both the manager and the owner of the building live in it. Everything you experience in the building, good or bad, rest assured that we experience it too!

What makes this apartment unique

It is very much true that almost every cuisine from every nation is represented in the New York city dining experience.Some nearby diners, pharmacies and grocery stores are open 24 hours. Groceries, Produce and Hardware stores are within 2 blocks. You have an open invitation to live like New Yorkers do. Get into a New York state of mind and enjoy the city in a balance of comfort and discomfort, just like a native.

We had an absolute wonderful stay here! The apartment is located in a great location in the East Village/Bowery border and is surprisingly quiet. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars within walking distance and we took full advantage of all of them. The apartment itself is very clean, well kept, and stocked with all the necessities (towels, sheets, spare umbrella, etc.) The beds were very comfortable and the apartment size, although smaller (but hey it's NY) worked great for 3 girls. Irma and Toni were very responsive and provided us with all the information we needed to enjoy our stay. I will absolutely be staying here again and 100% recommend.

Due to the fact we didn't book our stay until a week out, we stayed in 3 of the apartments through the 8 days. All were comfortable and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We ended up at this property because another place fell through and I am so happy it did.

The east village is a great area to stay. A lot (more like tons) of places to eat and you are in walking distance to plenty of sites. Nice coffee shop a few doors down. Subway stops are within a few blocks so you can be pretty much anywhere quick.

Delightful apartment

I have stayed at this location twice. The apartments are impeccably clean. The location is great for access to public transportation and restaurants. The managers are available and very helpful. Will stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay. The apartment was very clean and in a perfect location.

Irma, Tony, and Lee were wonderful hosts and so responsive to all communication. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed except for washrags. The location was perfect for everywhere we wanted to go and the green #6 subway line was so convenient and easy to use. It was exactly as stated on the web site and we loved the neighborhood, especially since it was quiet after long and busy days uptown. I would book this location again and recommend it to anyone I know coming to the city.

Great apartment, needs new bed desparately

Lee, Tony, and Irma were all very helpful and friendly with booking, payment, and orientation. The apartment is lovely and very well appointed. It felt larger than it was. My husband and I were there for his birthday. One of the reasons we booked this apartment was the 'king sized bed.' That is actually 2 twins hooked together. I've had those before and they were fine. This one had a huge bump in the middle, and both his and my beds had big dips... in which we fell... and then would almost fall off the bed. We both used comforters and pillows to fill in the dip. We didn't sleep well. Again, we LOVE the apartment. The owners need to get a real king and a much better one, please. I did think a couple of times I could have stayed at a Courtyard and had better sleep. But, again, we liked the people and apartment.

Owner's Response: We are were sorry. That never should have happened as we bought the conversion kit. We wish that you would have said something because it is something that can be fixed. We have been using it for years and it does fit as Tony, and Lee have personally slept on the king bed with no problems. This was a total misunderstanding and we will order a new kit and test it out. We hope you know from the care and attention to detail we put into the apartments that comfort is something we take very seriously and would have addressed it right away had we known.

Wonderful Stay in Apartment 5

We stayed in apartment 5 for four nights, two teenage girls and the two moms. The rental process was so simple and easy and Irma and Tony both responded quickly and professionally to all inquiries. our flight was late, but lee met us at the apartment and was very friendly in orienting us to the apartment and suggesting some good late night restaurants. the apartment and location are terrific. the apartment is nicely laid out and decorated - everything we needed and nothing we didn't. the neighborhood is walkable with lots of great coffee (Abraco just around the corner) and food choices. would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a comfortable relaxing place to stay for a few days.

Great location - great accommodation!

I stayed for a week in the Warhol apartment with my husband and son. The flat is just as shown in the photos - compact but more that adequately equipped. Very clean. It was pretty warm at night though and the air conditioning unit is noisy! Our arrival was much later than anticipated but Tony was happy to meet us and was extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The location is fantastic and after a few days we began to get a feel for the neighbourhood. Very highly recommended. Would love to go back!

We are located in the heart of the East Village at 321 E 6th Street, NYC. Parking is free on the street, just keep an eye out for street sweeping hours.

This location is very centric because we are at the N,R,Q trains which run somewhat east-west and gets you to the hottest spots. You can also take the F and V trains. Buses stop on the block.

Come stay with us and wake up in a city that never sleeps in a charming townhouse from the late-19th century. Let us welcome you to a lively neighborhood where brick walls speak of its history and our cozy studios allow you to relax after a busy day. Our neighborhood in this part of the East Village has now been designated as a landmark area. In the late 1960's this was the birthplace of the NYC hippie scene and counter culture. The Filmore East and the Electric Circus are nearby where the likes of Jimmy Hendrix, Janice Joplin, Led Zepplin and other performers used to jam in their early days. Even today, St. Marks Place, which is two streets over still reflects that hard edge energy and left-over punk scene unique to the East Village.
