Boston's North End

The North End, Boston's Oldest neighborhood, is known primarily as Boston’s Little Italy.

During your stay here, you will experience the charm of neigborhood living

The North End is divided to the southwest by the Rose Kennedy Greenway—a beautiful public park that stretches a mile and a half to South Station and to the north and east, by Boston harbor. Bostons' Freedom Trail runs through The North End, and some of its historical landmarks include North Square,The Paul Revere House, The Old North Church, and Copp’s Hill burying ground.

Hanover Street, the North Ends main thoroughfare, was originally a Native American Indian path, allowing access to the shore, prior to the first European settlement in the 17th century

Today, Hanover Street, and the North End offer great daytime attractions, as well as a vibrant nightlife.

Throughout the North End you will find quaint Italian cafes offering heavenly espressos and cappucinos, many authentic Italian markets, stocked with the best olive oils, meats, cheeses and pastas, close to100 restaurants serving some of Bostons BEST Italian food, and, arguably, the city’s best pastry shops—Mike’s Pastry and Modern Pastry. Crunchy cannolis, delicious Biscottis, and creamy Gelato are just a few of the treasures that you will experience as you saunter through this historic Boston neighborhood.

Hanover street offers views of The Paul Revere Monument beautiful St Leonards Church, and historic St Stephens Church, the baptismal sight of Rose Kennedy(1890)

The North End is extremely walkable. Just a short stroll will bring you to many Boston attractions such as Faneuil Hall, Boston Common, The Boston Public Garden,The New England Aquarium, the USS Constitution, The Bunker Hill Monument, and an abundance of Boston Harbor based activities .

Great little apartment

  • 5 of 5

We had a great few days in this apartment. It was just as shown in the photos, very clean and warm and was handy to everything we needed, including the tourist spots we wanted to visit. We too managed to come at a time when the weather wasn't as good as we expected, but coming back to the apartment each night made up for that. For a trip to the North End, this is perfect.

Perfect Location & Great Rental

  • 5 of 5

This is the place to stay if you want to truly experience living in the North End. Everything you could want is only a few minutes walk away and the minute you step out the door you are immersed in the fantastic local "flavor" the North End has to offer. Though we stayed during a Spring snowstorm which made exploration a little soggy, we were so close to everything that we were able to see the sights and take breaks back at the apartment to dry off/warm up. The place itself is clean, comfortable and has everything you need. The owners are absolutely top-notch and quickly dealt with one minor problem we had due to some demolition occurring at a neighboring building (which they obviously can't control and aren't responsible for, but they were very helpful and responsive all the same). We had a fantastic stay and want to come back again during nicer weather and absolutely would try to stay at this rental again. I highly recommend this place.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review of our property. As owners we try our best to be readily available if our guests have questions during their stay The spring snowstorm was very unusual for this area, but we are happy that the weather did not interfere with your seeing all that Boston has to offer! We are delighted that you enjoyed the convenient location of the apartment and we welcome you back on your return trip to Boston! Thanks again Terry and Des Owners

Perfect for our special weekend in Boston

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I were thrilled when we arrived at this beautiful apartment in the North End. It was within walking distance to all of our favorite restaurants and sites, as well as a short distance from the T. We booked the apartment for our wedding weekend and the owners went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The entire property is very clean, updated and charming. It is ideal for two people looking to explore the city. We would absolutely stay here again and we have recommended the apartment to friends planning future trips to Boston.

Hidden North End Gem !

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I are Massachusetts natives now living out of state. We travel "home" every year and this trip we decided to "play tourist" in Boston and stayed 3 nights in this beautiful apartment. In my search on HomeAway/VRBO, I found this wonderful apartment. This was better than the photos ! Tastefully decorated, super comfy bed, large bathroom, kitchen and living room nice as well, every area of apartment was very clean. Especially liked the charm of the exposed brick walls in both the living room and bedroom. Did I mention how quiet the apartment was ? The location is superb, turn the corner and you are in the middle of all that is the North End, but also an easy and enjoyable walk to other Boston locations. I only use hotels if I have a one night stay, always use HomeAway/VRBO for my trips and this North End apartment is now one of my favorites !
