Our first floor condo is located a quiet tree-lined street. It's a downtown gem steps from the B-line trail and five minutes walk from the courthouse square at the center of town.

The Space

This is a bright and airy space with new furnishings and an open floor plan. One bedroom has a queen and one has two twin beds which we can make up as a king. The kitchen is furnished for any kind of cooking you want to do and we keep it stocked with some basic staples and spices. In the fridge you'll find a couple welcome beers from our fine local brewery, the Bloomington Brewing Co.

Guest Access

Parking is just outside the front door and if you'd like bikes just let us know. You're renting the entire condo so use whatever you like. We live half a block away, so one of us will meet you at check-in to make sure that you have everything you need.

Interaction with Guests

We won't impinge on your privacy, but we are happy to help with anything you need. Jeff has owned restaurants in town for more than 30 years and knows the dining and entertainment scene inside and out so let us know if you need restaurant suggestions or help with any local attractions, we can probably help.

The Neighborhood

Locate in Prospect Hill, we think this is Bloomington's best neighborhood, an easy walk to everything. The Bloomington Convention Center is a two minute walk from your front door. A nice Kroger grocery and dozens of bars and restaurants are just a quick walk. The Wonderlab children's museum is 3 blocks away. We're close to everything but also on a very quiet tree lined street, very safe too. Our home is a half-block away and we rarely lock our front door.

Getting around

If you're doing downtown or university business you can easily get by without a car. Shuttles run regularly from Indianapolis airport for about $30 per person each way or you can arrange a taxi from a Bloomington taxi service for about $70 + tip. Either way, plan to set this up in advance. We can advise. The city bus terminal is about a 5 minute walk and you can walk to the center of the IU Campus in about 15 minutes, less by bike of course, and we're happy to arrange bikes for you if you let us know in advance.

Other Things to Note

Flat screen Internet TV, high-speed internet. We keep the house stocked with the the local visitors guides, maps and other literature to make sure that you know about all the fun things there are to do in Bloomington.

About Nana and Jeff

We love food and hospitality. Nana is Chinese and a new transplant to this country. She lived her first 40 years in Shanxi China, where she was a photographer and entrepreneur. Jeff arrived in Bloomington in 1982 and in the last 30 years has founded several of Bloomington's favorite food and beverage establishments, including Pizza X, Lennie's and the Bloomington Brewing Co. We can't live without good food and lively friends. This winter we explored the island of Dominica for a few weeks and it was amazing. We both look forward to meeting you!

Clean, centrally-located, and comfortable

My Mom and I had a wonderful stay at this condo. We enjoyed the separation of the two rooms and bathrooms for privacy. We also really liked the proximity to downtown. Thank you, Jeff and Nana, for a great stay!

Crown Point

Clean Condo in a great Location within walking distance to the heart of B-Town

Overall this was a great place to stay and we would definitely stay again. The condo was priced right and was a good value. It was in walking distance to the square, Kroger, and a lot of other places in B-Town. We went to the Malibu Grill and the Farm on the square which were both excellent!! Appliances all functioned without issue and were fairly new but all very clean. The owners responded very quickly to all questions we had and were very friendly. I would highly recommend this condo to any of my friends and relatives. The only issues we had was that the master bathroom door did not close fully and the exhaust fan in the same bathroom did not function. minor things that did not inconvenience us. Overall a great stay and we had a great time! Thanks Nana and Jeff!!

Owners may want a new cleaning service

I'm not sure why Raymond and Olga didn't see the many cobwebs, the dirty window sills, the dirty kitchen floor, the ants crawling all over the kitchen counter or the mouse droppings in the cabinet under the sink, but I sure did. If I'd been in a hotel I would have immediately asked for another room, but I couldn't. And I know all of that dirt didn't just appear there and those cobwebs have been there for ages, as well as the dirt on the window sills, so I'm stumped with those most recent reviews.

Now I only reported the ants to the owners and didn't complain to them about the other things. Perhaps I should have, but I didn't want to be difficult, especially since they were hesitant to do anything about the ants.

Besides the dirt, the property itself was lovely. Quiet street, great location, nice size, comfortable bed, good wifi, nice tv.

I'd like to stay there again, but would never prepay. You have no recourse if you don't like the place.

Spacious and well equipped

We stayed for 13 days and really appreciated the washer and dryer so we could have fresh towels each day. All in all, a good property well situated in central Bloomington.

A couple of negatives: loose handles, a cracked toilet seat and very limited TV package.
