Welcome to our new spacious beachfront house on Historic Pass a Grille Beach, directly overlooking the glistening Gulf of Mexico. You will enjoy stunning sunsets and a magnificent moon lit ocean view. Call if you have any questions. 941-544-7440. Katie

The house is spacious (1400 square feet) Two bedroom two bathroom.) Very large living/dining area. All upscale furniture. Large deck with lots of comfortable seating.

What—Never heard of Pass-A-Grille Beach? Well, then, before we tell you about our house we’ll have to educate you about the first beach community on the Gulf of Mexico to be developed as a weekend get-away location for successful Tampa and Saint Petersburg residents.

The area is a small spit of land merely 31 blocks long and one block wide at the south end of St. Petersburg Beach, starting just south of the historic Don Cesar Hotel. Pass-A-Grille got its name from Cuban fishermen, called “Grillers,” who would camp on the island to smoke their catch of fish before heading home. As you traveled through the pass you could see their fires, hence the name Pass-A-Grille.

Pass-A-Grille is NOT your typical Florida “beachy” beach town with hotels, motels, swimsuit stores and fast food stores wall-to-wall, If you are looking for this, you’ll have to go further north, past the Don Cesar. Pass-A-Grille is more sedate with a convenient grocery, quaint shops, inviting bars and restaurants, and a more relaxed style. And, everything is within easy walking distance, because the blocks are short.

22 blocks of beachfront and walkway a few steps to a nearby dune walkover. Once you cross the dune you’ll be presented with a wide, sandy beach stretching in both directions. It's like having your own private beach. There are never big crowds. A locals secret.

You’ll find some good bars, restaurants, and ice cream shops on this (the west) side. The Hurricane Restaurant is one of the most popular places, and you’ll get a great view while sipping a drink at the third-floor bar. By the way, there are no high-rise hotels on Pass-A-Grille—there are a couple of 7-story condos, but that’s it—

Or, walk one block to the other (east) side of the island, where you can dip a line in the water, arrange a fishing charter or scenic cruise, or merely stroll along the marine sites to some rather excellent restaurants. .

Less than an hour from the many attractions in Tampa and St. Petersburg. Our house is 2 blocks from the southern end of the island, and as close to “on the beach” as you can get. To the west there is the Gulf of Mexico, the beach, the street, and our house.

Paddle boarding on the beach. There is a company that will bring the paddle boards to your door. People watching from the patio. We are located in the heart of pass a grille. You can walk or bike to everything. Their is a local trolley that can take you all the way to Clearwater beach( can even take bike on trolley). No car is needed.

Dream house

This house was the perfect place for our family of 5 including child to create lasting memories. The deck outside overlooking the beach is ideal, the 2nd bathroom even though it is only accessible from the outside worked out super well for showering after the beach when everyone came back at the same time. Kitchen has everthing you need to prepare meals, you can watch the sunset from the dining area, the separation of the bedrooms allows privacy, and I could go on raving. Would come back in a minute!

Amazing house at Pass-a-Grille beach in St. Petersburg

Fabulous home across the street from Pass-aGrille beach. Close to Fort Desoto where kayaking, canoeing and fishing was available. Great get-away for families and couples with many restaurants available within walking distance. Terrific ice cream shop nearby for those hot summer days. Outside deck was beautiful and very comfortable to watch sunsets from everyday and if you like to see the sunrise it's within a 1/4 mile walk to the west. Home was beautifully furnished, clean and the kitchen had everything you would need to entertain a few guests for meals. Thank you Kate and Terry for sharing your amazing home with us. We are looking forward to our next visit with you and the family.

Excellent house in Pass A Grille

The best place to stay in Pass A Grille. The house is in a quiet location, very clean, and nicely furnished. It is across the street from the beach and convenient to shops and restaurants. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back.
