Welcome to our lovely vacation home. This unique condo home is very comfy and inviting. It is not a typical condo in a complex but is a complete house attached to another unit on a very private lot with a full yard for your enjoyment. The first floor has a large living complete with woodburning stove. There is a fully equipped kitchen, full bathroom and one bedroom also on this first floor. The downstairs bedroom sleeps 2 in bunk beds. The upstairs has the two bedrooms. The master bedroom with a queen sized bed. The other upstairs bedroom has one twin sized bed.
You are tucked away from all the hustle and bustle and yet so close to all that the area has to offer at the same time. Going east you will be 9 minutes away from Nauset Light beach and only 7 minutes from Coast guard beach, which are both the Atlantic Ocean. If you prefer the bay side for a milder surf, the First Encounter beach is only 2.25 miles. Within 1½ miles, are 2 lovely museums that are rich in the local history. Wellfleet drive-in theater and indoor movie theater is only 8 minutes away. This drive-in parking lot boasts an enormous flea market every Wednesday and on weekends, too. If you are into hiking, you’re in luck. There are several beautiful hiking trails within 2 miles. The Eastham library and the biking trail are both only a minute away. If you are interested in all the local art and fishing adventures that Provincetown has to offer you are only a 37 minute drive. In P-Town you can see a show, go on a whale watch, go on a fishing outing or just enjoy the amazing artistry and exquisite dining the area has to offer. If you’d rather not drive you can hop on the bus (right on this main Route 6) and not have to worry about parking. This bus has been a wonderful addition in recent years. Going west you are only 7 minutes from Orleans, a lovely community filled with all kinds of shopping and dining. Going further west you are 36 minutes from Hyannis and the closest Mall and nearest hospital. Also in Hyannis is the local airport and the port where you can take the ferry to the islands of Nantucket and/or Martha’s Vineyard.
Because you can't see our property from the road the photo you get on Google maps is an aerial photo. It is an awful picture and hard to tell what you are looking at. It looks like it was taken at night. The photos in this ad are much more accurate.
We felt it was very important to the property owner, Jo Ann, that we enjoyed our stay. She put a lot of effort into making our family feel welcome. She took the time to hand write maps of the area (complete with helpful hints) and left several brochures for area events and activities.
The house was clean and organized and had an amazing front porch! The house rules were clear and reasonable and Jo Ann was readily available should we need to reach her. She was a pleasure to work with!
Stayed here with my family of 5 (3 kids under 8) and it was perfect!! My 2 older kids shared the bunk beds in a room that was a perfect size for them. Upstairs, my little one was right next to us in the single bedroom. Living room was a great size with a modern tv and Netflix hookup. Kitchen had absolutely everything you could need to cook a dinner, bake a treat and eat a meal. Loved having a washer and dryer so I didn't arrive home with oodles of laundry to do. SAving the best for last----the oversized covered front porch was where you'd find my husband and I at most times, reading a book while the ocean breeze blew through the weeping willow or eating a dinner at the full size table with 6 chairs. Also, the location cannot be beat. Whether you're looking for the calm waters of the bay or the ocean waves, you're not more than 10 minutes from either!
Cannot wait to come back next year!!
This is the perfect rental for a family beach vacation for location, convenience and comfort. The kitchen is much more spacious than it looks in the photos, and is completely stocked with every utensil, cookware and service-ware you might need -- the bathroom is also more spacious. Our children immediately felt at home, and we were all very comfortable. The setting is private, and we never heard our neighbors -- but, for the parked car, we never knew anyone was there! Easy access to beaches, ponds, restaurants, and Orleans is a very quick trip for rainy day distractions. The local Superette is 3 minutes away, and had everything we needed/wanted. Thank you for making family beach vacations so easy!
Our family of four enjoyed our stay in Cape Cod. We have come to the Cape during the summer to attend the NEEI conferences in the past. This location is only about 2 miles south of the conference center. This cottage was just the right size. While there are a few things that needed maintenance and updating (bathroom lighting, new mattress/bed frame for queen bed, living room furniture) the cottage met our expectations. We enjoyed the Welfleet Bird Sanctuary, Cape Cod Baseball league, national seashore beaches and local seafood restaurants. The sunsets from First Enounter Beach (close to the cottage) was enchanting!
Stayed with 3 friends. Had a great time! Place was clean and well kept.
This was an amazing house! It was located just off of the main highway but it sits back behind another house so there is tons of privacy! It is minutes from two of my favorite beaches, First Encounter and Nauset Light. The porch is absolutely beautiful and is very peaceful place to sit in the evening. The house includes books, games and every cooking utensils you can think of.
