We hope you will love our little piece of paradise as much as we do. We are Patty and Rich Hall and it has always been our dream to own a lake front home. It is a wonderful getaway and we have enjoyed so many wonderful and memorable vacations here with family and friends. We have 5 children who all love to come to the lake house. This is the place where they have caught their first fish, spied their first bald eagle, learned to skip rocks, build a fire, kayak, drive a boat, water ski, jet ski, really appreciate the great outdoors and the love of family and friends. Patty grew up in Staten Island, NY (NYC) and Rich is from the Adirondacks. We live in the Adirondacks not to far from the Lake and come as often as we can. We look forward to sharing this beautiful place with you and your family and we hope you will make as many wonderful memories together as we have.

We love the unique location of our lake house. It is very close to the village of Ticonderoga, only 2 miles to all the conveniences you need but it is also very secluded and quiet. As you come on to Kirby Point Rd. you are transformed away from the hustle and bustle of daily life down a charming country dirt road with rolling hills and farmers fields on either side. Being on the lake is so beautiful everyday. The view of the lake is very soothing and tranquil with a backdrop of the Vermont countryside and the Green mountains. The setting here is so peaceful and gives us a place to replenish, relax and renew. It was love at first sight!
The name 'Ticonderoga' is one of the most significant and familiar in American History. The Iroquois word, meaning 'the land between the waters,' describes the historic portage between Lake Champlain and Lake George used by Native Americans for 10,000 years. Our lake house gives us access to two of the biggest and most beautiful lakes in the Adirondacks, Lake Champlain and Lake George. There are public access boat launches for each lake within a few miles of the house. We have enjoyed amazing days on the lake lounging in front of Fort Ticonderoga in the bay, watching 4th of July fireworks, gorgeous sunsets and basking in the sun. We have traveled to Burlington VT by boat and spent the night. We have put our boat in Lake George and camped on Mohican Island and sometimes just spent the day on Lake George water skiing and picnicking. We think having access to two lakes is an incredible advantage to our lake house's location.
We had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves and I'm sure we will be back.....until next time!
This property is exactly as advertised, and my family could not have been happier with the experience. It was a perfect vacation for us (myself, wife, 4 year old son, 9 and 16 year old daughters). Every one of us enjoyed the kayaks, the peddle boat, and the entire house in general. There was more than enough room for all of us. We loved the drive down the dirt road to get to the house and greatly appreciated its seclusion. At the same time, there is a 24 hour Walmart, a Rite Aid, Dunkin Donuts, McDonald's, and a Subway 5-10 minutes away from the house. We did a pretty large food shop at Walmart the day we arrived and ate the majority of our meals at the house. We enjoyed making breakfast each morning and doing a lot of BBQing. It was a world of difference from most vacations where we've had to eat out for every meal and always seemed to rush from one thing to the other. We took a few awesome day trips including Ausable Chasm, the Ben and Jerry's Factory in Vermont, and Lake George Village. (If going into Vermont for the day, we suggest driving over the bridge and returning on the ferry, or vica versa...two different scenic routes). The owners were extremely easy to work with and also very responsive to all questions and concerns before, during and after our stay. If there was anything at all that wasn't perfect, it was the fishing from the dock. I'm sure it is because of the time of year I went, but the vegetation and growth so close to the shore made for nothing but the hooks getting caught up and dragging in all the weeds. We did catch a bunch of fish, though, once we took the poles with us out on the kayaks and peddle boat, past all the growth. The vast majority of things we did and places we went were all from the list of suggestions provided by the owners once you book with them. Nothing disappointed. It was all fantastic. So, we had an amazing, relaxing, and much needed vacation that provided an abundance of family time and allowed us to all really take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and really enjoy eath other. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

Enjoyed sharing this charming, clean, as advertised A-frame lakeside home with our family. Good base for regional attractions such as Lake Placid and Ben & Jerry's' in nearby Vermont. Grand daughters (and parents) enjoyed fishing, kayaking and paddle-boating on the lake. We really enjoyed the opportunity to just relax. Read several books we hadn't had a chance to get to previously. Owners were on call if needed. (We had no need).
My family and I had a great time. The house was perfect and exactly how it was described by the owners. The location is very convenient and the views are spectacular. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
Wonderful house for our getaway! Very comfortable with all we needed! Clean and cozy with lot's of special touches...loved it!
We loved our stay at the lake house. Unlike the hustle and bustle of the Lake George area with the throngs of tourists, this house on Lake Champlain was in a much more private and serene area, which we loved! The house was perfect for our family of four with room to spare. My wife and I had the master suite in the loft, my oldest son had the first floor bunk room, and my youngest lived like a king in the basement with his own full size bed, bathroom, living area, TV, etc. The amenities and style are charming and the top deck and lower patio provided stunning views of the lake both in the morning as the sun rose and at night as the moon rose over the lake. The paddle boat, kayaks, rope swing and dock were a fantastic addition and we felt like we had our own private lake front as we tended to be the only ones around most of the week. The hammock and futon on the lower patio were wonderful for relaxing with a good book and/or a cocktail.
The location near Ticonderoga village and the wonderful little restaurants was great as was the proximity to Fort Ticonderoga, the Fort Ti Ferry to Vermont, etc. Patty’s recommendations on where to eat and visit were a great help to us and were much appreciated given we had not been to the area before. Patty and Rich were wonderful as well and quickly addressed an issue with a leak in the basement that could have been a problem if they were not as responsive as they were. It is hard to think of any negatives at all. I guess the water at the house did have a noticeable sulfur smell but that was the only slight negative there was (though, without a dishwasher, I did more dishes than I have for a while too). Overall, this was a great house, with great amenities, in a great location, run by great owners! We would definitely recommend it and would definitely come back if we are in the area again!
My family had an amazing time. The house was great. It had everything you could want. My 9 year old son fished every day off the dock. The rope swing definitely added some extra excitement! We will definitely be back.
Happy vacation planning and we hope to see you soon in our little corner of paradise at Hall's Way to Heaven in the beautiful Adirondacks!! Here is the link to our personal visitors guide of all the great places to visit in our area.....Gotta love the Adirondacks!! http://bit.ly/1mG8dTL
