Spacious and stylish living in this first-line beach, 3/3 deluxe apartment. A 125 sqm indoor apartment with a 76 sqm terrace, fantastic sea views and 24-hour manned security. Located in the new and modern development of Bahia de la Plata, in Estepona, on the New Golden Mile and situated next to Hotel Kempinski, Alcazaba Beach and only 350 meters to Puro Beach.

Bahia de la Plata is a gated community with facilities such as reception, two outdoor full-sized swimming pools and children pools embedded in lush tropical gardens with views of the Mediterranean and direct access to the beach and the promenade. The spa and fitness area include a indoor heated pool, Jacuzzi, a wide range of state-of-the-art machines and locker rooms. There is a large aerobic studio and a covered paddle tennis court.

The apartment is completely furnished and equipped for a comfortable and uncomplicated stay. This 3/3 deluxe apartment includes air-conditioning, contemporary furniture, plunge pool on the terrace, elegant living and dining areas. The bathrooms feature hydro massage showers or whirlpool baths. One free private underground parking is included in the rental.

The apartment comes with a flat-screen satellite TV, WiFi, washer and dryer, private safe and a fully equipped kitchen. The domotic system installed in the apartment makes the controlling of air-conditioning very easy. See paragraph 6, “Domotic System, Air Condition, Private Safe and WiFi” describing how to manage and access those features.

Estepona is Costa del Sol´s most westerly city and lies 75 km from Málaga airport, at the foot of the Sierra Bermeja mountains. As a mainly Spanish resort, with whitewashed houses and balconies decorated with flowers, Estepona has managed to keep a much more authentic atmosphere than many of the other resorts of the Costa del Sol. Nowadays the former fishing village appears as a perfect place to live for families and people who appreciate life away from the more commercialized parts of the Costa del Sol.

2 Arrival and Departure Facts

Arrival is at 16:00 and departure at 11:00. Early arrivals and late departures can be requested before arrival by contacting on-location services, see below “8 On-location Services”. Receptioning and key handling are also planned and managed through our on-location service.

It is mandatory to present a paper copy of passport either upon arrival or in advance by email.

The apartment is a self catered accomodation. This means that convenience articles are managed by our guests. Below, in “8 On-location services”, you will find information about services that will make your stay more comfortable and personal.

3 Location and the Apartment

The adress is Urbanization Bahia de la Plata (Carretera Nacional 340, KM 159), Avenida Mare Nostrum 42, 29680 Estepona, (Malaga). The apartment number is Bloque 3, Escalera C, Planta 1, Piso A.

Leaving the Malaga airport take direction A7-AP7 direction Algeciras. If you choose AP-7 (toll road) we suggest you exit at San Pedro and go to A7. This will make it easier to locate Bahia de la Plata.

Coming from Malaga on A7, passing San Pedro take first Estepona exit “Estepona Palacio de Congreso”. Pass one roundabout and drive under the highway. Pass next roundabout and follow directions for Hotel Kempinski on Avenida Mare Nostrum (driving parallel with the highway) and passing Alcazaba Beach. You will find Bahia de la Plata on the right hand side with entrance onto Avenida Mare Nostrum.

Access to the apartment is through the security at main entrance. There are staircases and elevators that will take you to the floor of the apartment. Arriving in your own car, after the main entrance, drive down to the first garage level and make a direct right. You drive until arriving at your car space #76. Walking 15 meters further down in the garage, on your left-hand side, you will find the door marked “Bloque 3 Escalera C”. Here you will find the elevator taking you to the first floor (1) and apartment 1A. Welcome!

The apartment is 126 sqm on the inside and the terrace is 76 sqm with a plunge pool. There are several entrances onto the terrace from the apartment. The apartment is light with windows and doors in two directions. The direction is southwest facing with undisturbed views to the Mediterranean. The apartment is suitable for families, couples, honeymooners and golfers.

Beach towels are not supplied. Bath towels are not to be used at pool or beach. Please bring your own beach towels. You can rent or buy beach towels, see below “8 On-location services”.

4 Restaurants, Services and Leisure

Bahia de la Plata is in Estepona, first line beach and located between Marbella and Gibraltar. Estepona town center is 3 km away, where you have culture, restaurants and night life, commercial services, banking, healthcare, etc. Less than 2 km away is a local shopping center. Marbella is less than 20 minutes by car.

Golf courses in direct proximity are Caledonia Golf (2 km), Flamingo Golf (7 km) and El Paraiso Golf (8 km). 20 additional courses are within half an hour’s distance. Marinas nearby include Puerto Banus and Puerto la Duquesa. Estepona Yacht Harbour and fishing harbour are 3 km away.

The restaurant Garden Beach is 100 meters away with lunch and dinner menu. A modern chiringuito style restaurant on the beach just outside of Bahia de la Plata. Alcazaba Beach, almost next door, has an excellent beach side restaurant. A short stroll and you will reach Laguna Village with high-end shopping and restaurants. At Puro Beach you enjoy the pool, social scenery and the ocean at the same time.

Several famous hospitality venues are close to Bahia de la Plata. Highend Hotel Kempinski is next door. World famous Villa Padierna Palace Hotel with impressive facilities is less than 8 km away. On the other side of Estepona you have Hotel Finca Cortesin, host of Volvo Golf Masters for several years.

5 Domotic System, Air Condition, Private Safe and WiFi

The domotic system, located in the dining area, makes the controlling of air-condition easy. Simply tap yourself through and make your decisions. The temperatures are preset for your comfort and you decide on and off for each room.

Tap “Clima” and select between living room (salon) or bedroom 1-3 (dormitories). When you reach the selected room you start AC by tapping the “in house” symbol and off by tapping the “outside house” symbol.

There are also combined AC and light devices in the bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen. These devices are in white plastic and positioned clearly on the walls. The two lower buttons are light switches. The upper ones are for temperature control.

PLEASE do not use the upper buttons for temperature control but control the AC from the domotic display as described above.

PLEASE do not leave the air condition on when leaving the apartment or opening the doors onto the terrace.

PLEASE do not use the Domotic system display for anything else other than for use of the air conditioner.

The private safe is managed by using the code A123B and open/close with the key. Key deposit is €30. If the private safe key is lost, additional €50 will be deducted from the security deposit.

6 Plunge Pool and Household Machines

The pool is being overlooked and maintained on a weekly basis. If something should not function to your expectations please contact us, see paragraph 8 “On-location Services”.

Many pool equipment machineries do appear to be the same but have important differences. Please, do not open the door to the pool room to solve the issue yourself.

Our household machines are easy to use. However, in the laundry room there is a plastic box with instructions on how to maneuver all of them.

7 On-site Services and Key Handling

Before arriving at Bahia de la Plata you can contact Alice Verlinden to plan your arrival and stay. Together with Alice you will plan the key handling, order welcome packages (see prices below 8.) and discuss convenience services (see prices below 8.). Alice can also be helpful if you have questions after your arrival.

8 Key Handling, Welcome Packages and Additional Services for your Convenience*

Key Handling

Key delivery and key return will depend upon your arrival and departure times. Please communicate as accurately as possible your expected arrival and departure. Key handling will either be managed by Alice or her colleges. Garage clicker is available, deposit €20. If lost or damaged, additional €50 will be deducted from the security deposit.

Welcome Packages

In addition, making your stay more personal, we offer our guests a variety of welcome packages. Do not hesitate to contact Alice to personalize your own package. Welcome packages should be ordered a minimum of five days before arrival.

Additional Services for Your Convenience

We can offer convenience services like extra cleaning, laundry services, ground transportation, etc. In addition, beach towels can be rented or purchased. Please contact Alice with your requests.

Hakan and Monique lived for several years in Spain. We have now once again a home-away-from home in Spain. We love the spanish lifestyle and have many friends in Spain. We speak english, scandinavian, german and a little bit spanish.

Why The Owner chose West Costa del Sol

We left Spain in 2008 and sold our beautiful apartment in Marbella. In 2013 we started to look for something new. We wanted to find a resort style living directly on the beach. After a 6 month search we finally found our dream, Bahia de la Plata, just outside of Estepona. The Estepona area represents the genuine Spain that we love.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is built to a very high quality with numerous modern features. The urbanisation is family friendly, feels very private and has amenities that you normally find at high end resorts.

At the same time, everything is close! Estepona town center is only 3 km away. In Estepona you will find culture, restaurants and night life, commercial services, banking, health care, etc. Less than 2 km away is a local shopping center.

Golf courses in direct proximity are Caledonia Golf, Flamingo Golf and El Paraiso Golf.

Marinas nearby include Puerto Banus and Puerto la Duquesa. Estepona Yacht Harbour and the fishing harbour are 3 km away.

Perfect spot

We stayed at this lovely first floor apartment for the month of June 16. It's well equipped with all your daily needs.The resort has two nice outdoor pools

and it also has an indoor pool It is privately gated with security, access to the beach(bit stony) to the rear of the property. It also has its own underground parking facility.It is situated in the perfect spot, just on the outskirts of main town Estepona and walking distance(down the beach) to Laguna Village with it's

lovely shops, beach restaurant, and other family restaurant's, with Camuri's restaurant highly recommended.

We found the owner to be very attentive to any of our needs and his on site assistant Alice just superb in every way. All in all this is a great place to stay! Not just couple's but family's too. Very clean, well maintained, easy parking inside and out.

We hebben het heerlijk gehad in dit prachtige ruime appartement!

Het zicht op de zee was voor ons een grote pré!

Voor ons het nadeel,maar dat komt door de tijd waarin we er waren, was dat het zwembad op het balkon ijskoud was en dus geen meerwaarde had!

In de warme zomer is het daar goed verkoeling zoeken!

TOP APARTMENT! AMAZING SEA VIEW

We booked the apartment from August 12th to August 28th, 2015.

The first image was amazing. Our 4 children had been running through the rooms and couldn’t stop jumping for joy. Very imposing to us was the own pool on the terrace and the impressive view towards the see. The furniture of rooms is modern and esthetic .

Only the kitchen items had been of a poor amount, but all necessary facilities had been available. Very good : the big refrigerator !

Bathrooms didn’t leave anything to be desired.

Very useful is the quick access to the underground parking. One can easily go by elevator two levels down and need only a few steps to reach his car.

The facility is spacious and big. The pool area and all other facilities, i.e. fitness centre and tennis court, can be reached in a short time.

The pool area is well-tended and had never been crowded.

We preferred to use the green lane of grass besides the pool area, which had a wonderful view to the sea.

Due to the natural finish of the beach, there are a lot of stones. It makes sense to wear bathing shoes.

Shopping can be made in the ALDI supermarket close to the hotel or, a bit farer located : LIDL.

We really enjoyed our holidays and would like to recommend this facility !

Beautiful Costa Del Sol

Appartment is comfortable for 6 people. It was clean. Some appliances did not work, I contacted the owner and he sent repairman the next day to fix it. The beach is literally one step away but a bit wild.The restaurant next door is great.

All in all I will highly recommend this property.

A little piece of paradise.

This was a great place, the apartment is just as beautiful as the pictures posted. The apartment grounds, pool and beach area are fantastic and well maintained.

The owners were more than helpful

and a lovely couple to work with, they were just a phone call away when we had a couple of things that needed attention.

We stayed for 11 days with 3 kids (ages 3, 7 and 10) and everyone was happy. The plunge pool was a big hit! Although, too cold for me, the kids used it everyday.

If we ever make it back to Spain, we will definitely stay here again!

Monique and Hakan will have much success with this rental unit! Beautiful vacation!
