About Patrica Price
Harry and Patricia said their vows in 2010, at the Foggy River Lodge. The land that the three properties are located on were owned by Harry's family, and passed down to him. Both Harry and Patricia have resided in Luray all of their lives.
Patrica Price purchased this Cabin in 2005
Why Patrica Price chose Luray
Because the property was once owned by Harry's parents, it is very special to him and Patricia both. They put a lot of their time into the cabins to be sure the family's, couples, or individuals staying there have a positive experience.
What makes this Cabin unique

Private and Convenient
Our stay at the foggy creek cabin was amazing! The cabin was secluded, quiet, and private! The hot tub was a perfect addition to the cabin! The location was convenient to all of the places that we wanted to visit. The Luray Caverns was 3-4 miles (must see)! The Wisteria Wine and Vineyard is a must do. It was $8 per person for wine tasting and the place was peaceful, fun, and everyone that works there was very friendly. Shenandoah State Park was great for sight seeings and hiking! We had dinner at the Pollock Dinning Room in the Skyland. Amazing food! Breakfast the Uncle Bucks and Brookside. We can't wait to come back again!
Enjoyed our stay. Beautiful and secluded but could be kept up better for the price.
The cabin itself is beautiful and has a nice rustic yet homey charm, the scenery is beautiful. Looks wise, it's great. However the beds were very hard and springy to the point where we could not sleep on them. The living room furniture was pretty comfy so we slept on the recliners all week out there. They had left sheets folded for us on the bed but they were pretty wet, I guess they needed more time in the dryer and by the time we got there, they smelled really bad. They did have plenty of extra blankets to use though so it was an easy fix. The hot tub would not heat and looked like it had dirt or sand all in the bottom of it so idk when the last time it was clean was. In the welcome binder it pretty much says that the hot tub is a luxury item and they can't control if it breaks during your stay, which sucks because we were specifically looking for places with hot tubs to relax and unwind so that's the main reason we chose this specific cabin. The cabin smelled like fresh paint when we arrived so I'm assuming someone did some touch ups, but there was grease on the dishes, we had to rehash all of them, and on the countertops. There were spiders living in the grill, it looked like it hasn't been cleaned out in a while. The tablecloth on The picnic table out on The screened porch is starting to get black mold and should probably be switched out. Also my boyfriend was leaning on it one morning and it turned his stomach red, it washed off but we had a good laugh. The water smells a little off at times, like eggs and metal and when you take a shower it kind of feels like you're never fully rinsed off . The cabin itself wasn't very well cleaned. It was like someone came in, did some light decorating changes like the decorative blankets, the wet sheets, etc. and didn't clean anything. Oh and we were not prepped for this but the driveway to get there is a very steep incline down with rocks/gravel. I'm really glad we took the truck because there is no way my car would've made it up and down that thing safely. My dog loved it and had a great time, aside from the broken hot tub and it not being very clean, we had a great time as well. Love the view, love the quiet, LOVE that there's no WiFi and we both had no service. That was exactly what we were looking for. The corner store (big white building) is awesome, make sure you check it out. And Flotzy's ice cream is an absolute must!!! Amazing!!!! We stayed in that area for luray caverns which is always awesome
Cozy cabin on the river
We enjoyed our stay in this cozy cabin by the river. It rained most of our trip so we didn't get to play in the river, but we did enjoy the rocking chairs, listening to the thunder & the view!
Lovely, secluded location!
We loved our stay in the Cabin at Foggy River! The cabin was at the top of an incline with the beautiful Shenandoah River below. Even with another cabin nearby, the foliage and location made it seem like we were in the country all by ourselves. I loved the convenience of being near Luray, the Walmart, and other attractions. There was plenty of lawn for our two pups to explore, and the view was lovely. The cabin, with only one bathroom, was just the right size for my husband and myself. I appreciated the washer/dryer on site, and my husband enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings. It was great that the sheets and towels were included in the rental price; it saved us a lot of packing! I would have given five stars, except for the fact that the cabin was not as clean as I would have liked. The previous renters did not wash the dishes very well, the stovetop was greasy, and the young man who mowed the lawn threw the grass up onto the front porch, so I had to sweep and clean up a bit before settling in. They were small things, and I hope to return and stay again. We had a relaxing and fun 5 days! Thank you, Patricia, for sharing your cabin with us! - The Bs from Laurel, MD
Beautiful View, Relaxing Cabin
We really enjoyed our stay at Patricia's cabin. We spent the weekend hiking in the Shenandoah with our dog and enjoyed coming back to the cabin to relax on the porch. The cabin is remote but very close to town. There are also several wineries nearby that we visited and definitely recommend! River Hill Distillery, Wisteria Farm, and Castle Vineyards to name a few. And, you can't beat the water view!!
The Foggy River Cabin is just minutes away from the town of Luray and multiple attractions.
