Please note: we are not a hotel or bed and breakfast and do not engage is nightly or weekly stays. Our minimum term of stay is 30-days and our term during the summer months, (June thru August) is 90-days, but other options may be negotiated.
This is a completely furnished studio apartment offered. Our minimum term of stay is 30-days. We offer discounts for terms over 90-days.
This is a completely furnished studio apartment and is best suited for one person (our policy dictates that we will only rent this space to one person). The unit is configured as a combined living and sleeping area where you will find a bistro table and bar stools, dresser and chest of drawers, a full-size Murphy bed enclosed in a cherry wood cabinet, Ethan Allen computer/writing desk and chair to name just a few amenities. Ceilings are 10' tall with recessed lighting, accented with crown molding and three large bay windows provide for ample natural light and views of eclectic Euclid street. The living area is all hardwood flooring with a plush oriental rug and brilliant white, ceramic tile is used in both the kitchen and bathroom. Guest entry is controlled within the apartment by a telephone/intercom access system.
The kitchen is separate from the living/sleeping area and is completely furnished with all accessories needed to prepare meals to include: dinner and flat ware, glasses, (wine, water, juice), and every possible utensils/cutlery, pots and pans. Other kitchen components include a ceramic top oven, microwave oven, toaster, coffee maker, crock pot, and yes--even a blender. You will find a full complement of linens, pillows, and towels in the bathroom together with a large closet with ample shelving and hanging space needed to store your items . . All you need to bring are your clothes and your toothbrush!
The unit is equipped with washer/dryer and an iron and ironing board. An energy efficient heat pump (central air unit) with digital thermostat provides comfort year-around in the unit. Please note: utilities (electric usage) is not part of rent and will be deducted from security deposit at the end of your stay. All apartments are separately metered; therefore, you only pay for the electric used within your unit. The building and apartment is very energy efficient and your electric bills will strictly be based on your personal level of comfort (thermostat control), how frequently you cook to prepare meals and how often you use the washer/dryer. Recent electric invoices for this unit show approximately during spring and fall months and during winter and summer months.
For entertainment there is a new high definition (HD) flat screen TV and home theater system with surround sound. Direct TV (HD) with premium channels to include hbos, starz and encore channels . . . And . . . Comcast;s blazing fast Cable Broadband high-speed internet service, accessed through an encrypted wireless network is all included in the rent.

We are 1.5 blocks from some of the hottest night life venues and ethnic restaurants in the District. Also, two grocery stores (Harris Teeter and Safeway) within one block!
Living in a very pedestrian friendly community, walking distance to city transportation, grocery stores, dry cleaners, great dining and more.
The pictures were very representative of the property and everything was neat, clean, and ready for move in when I arrived. Steve was an excellent host between his hospitality and wealth of knowledge on the area. I would recommend this prooerty to anyone looking for a great experience of DC and Adams Morgan.
I had a great stay for about a month here. It was very quiet and absolutely as described. It's an ideal location and perfect for one person.
This apartment is exactly as advertised. One can't say enough about the location- close to Columbia Heights, close to the park, close to the restaurants of Adams Morgan, etc. Steve is an excellent host- always available but not at all overbearing. The apartment was clean and everything was in working order (having the in-unit washer and dryer was particularly nice). In short- I couldn't have been more satisfied. Would recommend to anyone.

Electric usage is NOT included in rent and will be deducted from Security Deposit at end of your stay. All apartments are separately metered, so you only pay for the energy (electricity used.The property is all electric--no gas).Your electric usage is predicated upon how much cooking you do, how frequently you wash and dry clothes and your personal level of comfort (thermostat setting to you central heat and air conditioning system).
DC Dept of Revenue and Taxation requires terms of stay less than 90 days be taxed at the Hotel and Tourism rate at 14.5%. Terms of stay longer than 90 days are tax exempt.
You will be required to complete our 'Move-In Checklist' within 24 hours of arrival (found at the Forms and Docs tab at our website). Before deparing we will prompt you to complet our 'Move-Out Checklist' as a guide to prepare the apartment to the condition received. If elements of the Move-Out Checklist are not followed, we will access a cleaning fee of $90.00.
