At the beach of Agios Romanos there is a small taverna and a beautiful cafe where someone can have snack, salads etc. Close to Agios Romanos there are beautiful beaches to visit such us Apigania, Kalivia, Isternia, Kolibithra and very picturesque villages such as Kardiani, Pyrgos, Panormos and so many others ( 20 - 30 min by car). To all of those there are wonderful tavernas and interesting places to visit, this is why we suggest that at least for a few days renting a car is important, unless you would wish totally relaxing days at Agios Romanos beach.

Peaceful Haven
We stayed at the Garden House for one week at the beginning of September. The house was perfect for the two of us - close to a lovely beach and within easy walking distance of two very good tavernas. The house is well equipped and well furnished. The large garden (which is on a number of different levels with small steps for access) was a lovely location in which to have breakfast, with a number of different seating areas, surrounded by citrus trees, and a very peaceful oasis in which to enjoy an evening drink after a day walking the Tinos trails. The only other observation we would make about the house is that those with mobility problems may find the stairs to the upper floor challenging! Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Anna-Maria was really helpful both before and during our stay and responded quickly to any questions we had. Thank you!

Idyllic house and location
The Romano Garden house is heavenly. Both house and garden were absolutely stunning. Lovely details everywhere made this feel like a home and there was always somewhere shady to sit - a spot for every time of day. The house is less than 2 mins walk to a gorgeous beach with trees for shade where we swam at all times of day. Such an idyllic, tranquil space to spend a week.

Superbly located, charming Greek house with the largest garden
What a special place this house is. Greeted by the owners parents who were kind and attentive throughout our stay this house is a hidden gem. Beautiful linen on the beds with mosquito nets and air conditioning, the house is comfortable with outdoor dining and grill. The location is seconds from the most fabulous beach and little marina. I will dream of this house in my sleep.

Traumhaus in Tinos

About the host

I am an architect and designer. I live in Athens and often travel to Tinos. I love travelling either abroad or at places of natural beauty in Greece. Rose - Marie is my mother who lives on the island, she has been travelling a lot as also my father Thomas and love taking care of their plants and flowers, as also taking care of the family, friends and the guests of our house, as part of a cultural tradition. Hospitality has always been extremelly important for Cycladic culture and we always loved offering hospitality. I love good food - my family's gardens produce fruits and vegetables and the marmalades, vine and other delicatessens provided at the house, are all made by them. We really hope you share with us the unique Cycladic culture hospitality.

Why they chose this property

A beautiful combination of the Cycladic landscape, the mediterranean gardens with fruits and vegetables and the sea. The house is located next to a natural dale which means that its ground floor remains cool even during the very hot days of the summer.

What makes this property unique

Our guests can visit all the garden areas that surround the house and pick and enjoy any fruit or vegetables from our organic garden and orchard. In the garden area there are a few storage houses, but also the space where we make our wine. Our guests are always offered bottles of our wine and the traditional raki.
