This is a recently renovated one bedroom apartment whose atmosphere is truly unique due to the very successful mix of Venetian and and French elements. It has a beautiful spacious terrace which is very enjoyable, especially on bright sunny days.

San Simeon is an apartment with truly remarkable atmosphere. It is very colorful, cheerful, bright and unique. Its whole design is meant to bring a smile on your face. If you are an art lover and appreciate small quirky details, this apartment is meant for you. Venetian colorful splendor is mixed with French elegance and the result is captivating.

The terrace is another pleasant feature, because from it you can seen the canal below and even a glimpse of the Canal Grande.

The living room is vivacious and the sofa is perfect for relaxation after a long day of sightseeing. There are interesting art pieces and a wall of different shaped mirrors adding a unique design touch.

The apartment has air-conditioning, a flat screen TV, and free Wifi internet. It's the only apartment on the third floor, which secures a great deal of privacy even on the terrace.

The kitchen is small, but bright and clean. It has a sleek modern feel to it. It is very well equipped.

The bathroom is quite large, decorated in beautiful white and dark blue tile. It has a bathtub and a shower.

The bedroom is truly spectacular. It is so uniquely furnished that makes it a true visual experience. Very colorful, it is a blend of modern and antique looking details. It features a double bed, a wardrobe, nightstands and a beautiful wooden chest.

Great location and very comfortable apartment

We loved this apartment! Close to the train station, but in a very quiet area, this was a great place to explore Venice from. The woman who met us with the keys was very helpful with the overview of the apartment, location and suggestions on restaurants. Definitely would recommend this apartment.

Trust the reviews - Lacking customer service when most needed

I was so prepared to give a great review for this property that I booked six months in advance. But sadly this will not happen. My experience may not be yours but be advised.... My main issue with this apt was the is strictly customer service oriented or the lack of it when I needed it the most. I was locked out the apt for the 12 hours on my last night of a four night stay. (I'll save that story for last!)

I will stick with the facts:

Luca will hand you off to his proxy, Chiara, who will then had you off to one of her proxies (Martina, Irene, Margarita). And yes, I dealt with all three of them during my stay (April 27-May 1).

I arrived at the apt close to midnight, upon getting settled in for the night, we discovered that the hot water heater wasn't working. Fortunately, with the help of google translator and us being the DIY kinda people, we were able to reset the hot water heater but it only lasted for one person to take a quick shower once it got hot. We reset it in the morning and then reported the issue to Chiara. Long story short is that some handy man was dispatched to the apt that we saw doing maintenance work in the build when we left the unit. All he did was do what we had done twice already: he reset the heater! Needless to say that we reset the unit as needed on our second night in the unit. On day three we reported the issue again and this time an actual plumber was sent and discovered what the true problem was and fixed it.

Unfortunately, the evening of our fourth and final night in the apt, we left the only provided set of keys in the apt . The door is one of those types that when it shuts, it's already locked! It was a Saturday night (8 PM) on a holiday weekend for Italy. Our phones were in the apt as we were only going to a nearby store and took only money with us. We only had access to email at a nearby friend"s apt and alerted Chiara of the situation via email and phone calls. No answers were received for almost three hours. And forget about trying to call her as it was impossible to leave a message. Not an option to do so. In the end, we were informed that someone would come to the apt at by 8 AM! Only choice given.

I tried in good faith to have at least a refund for the last night of my stay refunded. Luca said no. I was also informed that I should be lucky that someone came to the apt on a Sunday to let me in and I wasn't charged a fee. Emergency service? Not!! Never again here!

Great Apartment, Great Location, Great Host.

Very nice apartment in a quiet neighborhood very close to the rail station. The pictures are very accurate. The entire apartment is decorated with interesting items that the host has collected over the years. The mural in the bedroom is really that dramatic. Check-in was very easy. Dennis met us near the station and happily explained everything about the apartment. The owner Luca even left us food and water to get started.

A bonus that was not shown in the pictures is that the terrace and kitchen each have nice views of the local canals. Grocery stores are close. San Marco and all of the sights are less than a 20 minute walk away.

Note: The apartment is on the European 3rd (US 4th) floor with no elevator. Not a difficult climb but could be a problem for people with disabilities.

Overall, we were very pleased and will definitely recommend it to our family and friends.

Appartement très agréable et bien situé

Petit appartement très agréable et pratique, parfait pour un couple.

Balcon ensoleillé et donnant sur le canal.

La déco est assez kitsch mais cela rend l'appartement cosy et intime.

Très bien situé: donne sur un joli campo, est tout près de la gare, des bus et de 2 arrêts de bateau. On voit même le grand canal du balcon.

Seul bémol: frais de nettoyage (obligatoires) trop chers et propreté douteuse de la baignoire.

Attention: 3ème étage sans ascenseur.

Great location, artistic apartment

Very close to the railways station, this is a nice residential area with a wide variety of local bars and restaurants. There is a supermarket nearby.

Public Transport (Vaporetto): Riva di Biasio, line 1.
