Villa Paraiso is located on the southern Pacific coast of Costa Rica in the prestigious luxury home community of Las Olas in the town of Dominical. Only 8 homes enjoy a 1000 acres of rain forest overlooking the Pacific with miles of pristine hiking trails.
This 9500 sq. ft. Spanish Colonial inspired villa took 4 years to complete. There are 4 guest bedroom suites on the first floor. Two have their own private verandas. All have luxurious bathrooms and individual climate control. The master suite, almost 2000 sq. ft. itself, occupies the entire second floor. In addition there is a movie theater and wine cellar.
A live-in house keeper and 24/7 management company will attend to your every need. Enjoy the blue green glass tile pool with built in chaise lounges, infinity edge, and swim up bar or walk to the beach. World class surfing, fishing, and bird watching are just steps away.
Available services at the house include gourmet chef, bartender, masseuse, facials, pedicures, manicure, and yoga instructors. The area has little tourist pressure, but none the less benefits from several grocery stores, liquor stores, and a remarkable assortment of European and Costa Rican restaurants.
At Villa Paraiso you can look forward to the vacation of a lifetime.
I am a physician in the US and Mindy is a CPA. Our friend was the original developer of the area and we fell in love with the place on our first visit.
Paul Bradley purchased this villa in 2004
We did not plan on buying anything on our first visit to the area. The beauty, tranquility, and romance of the area overwhelmed us and we bought a lot on impulse. After a year of thinking we had gone mad buying property in a foreign county, we decided we might as well take the deep plunge and started construction of the villa. It took almost 5 years of a crew of artisans and craftsmen to complete the project, but it is absolutely amazing.
THE VIEW!!! I've taken tens of thousands of photos and I have yet to do the view justice. It's just so big that you can't take it all in in one photograph. You feel like you are literally perched on top of the world looking out on the most beautiful coastal view. If that were not enough, the 10 foot tide which sweeps in twice a day constantly changes the landscape. And the sunsets are beyond spectacular!
We had a wonderful visit, the villa was magnificient, the staff were attentive, and the entire experience was flawless.
We recently spent 1 week at this magnificent home. Unique, beautiful home with the best view of the CR pacific
coast. Home was spotless, spacious with all the amenities one would desire. House keeper was amazing and Alex the concierge
was very helpful. Quite a drive from San Jose but was part of the total adventure. You will not find a nicer home for a luxury vacation.
Even better than we'd anticipated from the pictures in every way: house, staff, food, view
This is a world-class villa. The eight of us felt lucky to be there every day. We enjoyed hiking on the grounds, ATV exploration and Zip lining. We pampered ourselves with massages after a long day of playing. The wine cellar is available to guests and has a a great selection. Movie night in the spacious theater was fun after a relaxing day of swimming in the endless pool and sunning. The pool and the view speak for themselves. The pictures show how breath taking the property is. We opted to have chef Rainier and his sous chef wife prepare three evening meals for us. The food was wonderful and their service was attentive without being intrusive. Paul's recommendations on local restaurants were spot on. Esidey, the housekeeper, is a true gem. She worked very hard to keep the property in tiptop shape. She even did our laundry, folded it, and returned it back to the proper room in no time. Alex, the concierge, was very helpful in navigating options for sightseeing and tours. He gave excellent customer service while being very attentive to details. The listing description was very accurate regarding the location, layout and amenities. So if you want an extremely pamper vacation yet one still filled with adventure this villa us perfection. Thank you Paul and your team for making this truly a special vacation for me and my family. We hope to make this and annual trip.
Our family loves Costa Rica and has traveled there several times. Last year was the fist time we traveled to the Dominical region where we had the great pleasure of staying in Villa Paraiso. We were so impressed we scheduled a return trip to the villa in March. This is a beautiful property, very well maintained and appointed, and I cant imagine any property having better views of the Pacific. Anywhere! It is clear to me that the quality of stay, and the experience of the visitors, are very important to the owner and staff (who are equally fabulous). I hope to schedule a third trip to Villa Paraiso soon.
We just returned from an excellent stay at Paul's house in Dominical. The house has the best view in the city and has the best pool to match. The cook and maid are wonderful and Alex helped make our stay perfect. Don't think twice and book this house!
Truly a very special piece of property! Nothing but positives. We loved out "outings" but we always were glad to come back "home" to this beautiful house. Enjoyed our meals at 2 restaurants that are very close but also enjoyed the dinners prepared by the chef at the house. The wine cellar available to guests was convenience and a great selection. The movie theater was a great down-time feature. The pool and the view speak for themselves, although I don't feel photos do either justice. Breathtaking! Esiday was another great positive. She quietly does her work daily and is helpful when needed. Hope we can repeat this trip one day and highly recommend it to everyone. Susan and Mike
Villa Paraiso is located within the Osa Peninsula, which National Geographic describes as: “the most biologically intense place on earth.” The house is an easy scenic 2.5-3 hour drive from the international airport in San Jose (SJO) down modern and recently paved highways. Or it can be reached by a quick 15 minute commuter flight, which leaves from the international airport and then a short 30 minute drive. Or for the ultimate experience, a 30 minute helicopter ride which lands at the house. The beauty of the area is that it has all the tourist activities of the rest of the country with virtually no tourist pressure. Perhaps, that is why Travel and Leisure Magazine dubbed the area the 'Hottest Travel Destinations of 2013.' It's also why Lonely Planet says of the area, “this is undoubtedly Costa Rica’s top spot to witness wildlife at its wildest.” Despite it's remoteness, there are amazing restaurants, grocery stores, liquor stores, and gift shops. Whether it's bird watching, hiking, surfing, or fishing, it's all a world class experience for those staying at the Villa Paraiso.
