Reviewer Comments:

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Bass Lake. The cottage was well stocked and we loved the vintage vibe. The dock, swimming dock, kayaks, rowboats, Fire pit, corn hole game and nice sized yard provided lots of opportunity for fishing and fun. Would have loved having more time to stay and hope to return!

Reviewer Comments:

We really enjoyed our week at this rental. The lake is quiet and great for fishing and kayaking. With the row boat, kayaks, fishing poles and grill included you can start enjoying the lake and outdoors immediately. The lake is shallow and safe for kids and dogs to swim. The description and photos are exactly what you get, no dishonesty or deception. Everything was great.

Reviewer Comments:

The house was in perfect condition upon arriving. Everything on the website was provided for us, making our stay even more perfect. We even received a call our second day making sure that everything was to our satisfaction. The check in time was kind of late and the check out time was kind of early, but those were very minor things. We just wanted to stay there as long as possible! We absolutely would rent here again and make this an annual trip. Thank you so much!

Cozy cabin with a fantastic view of the lake. Very secluded but near Sutton's Bay, Glen Arbor, and Traverse City.

Reviewer Comments:

We brought our two dogs on this trip - very thankful that the property owners are dog-friendly! We had a very peaceful and relaxing week - I could not have asked for a better setting. The property is on the east side of the lake, on a private, well-maintained road, about 5 houses from the end of the road. Neighbors on either side were very friendly and exceptionally quiet. In fact, the whole lake is quiet. It was a holiday weekend, and the most activity we saw was 3 boats out on the water, and a few bonfires in the evening! The beach is sandy in front of the property with very little weeds, and has a very gradual drop-off. It was perfect for the dogs (and the humans) to wade in! The bed was comfortable. We didn't need to run the window a/c unit in the living room, since it was cool enough during our stay. We spent a lot of time in the Traverse City area, and it is about a 25-30 minute drive to get there, which was not a big deal for us, since it was such a nice location overall, and so peaceful to come back to after a busy day! The bathroom is very dated, looks to be original, and needs renovating badly. And the well water is very high in iron in this area and was very smelly, but this was not a surprise, since we read this on other reviews. The kitchen could use a bit of updating as well, but it was certainly functional! It sounds like the property owners are planning to do some renovating but still maintain the original character of the cottage. Suggestions I have are: renovate the bathroom; invest in a good water softener/filtration system; purchase a new refrigerator. We would stay here again, for sure!

Reviewer Comments:

Great location on the quiet lake, loved the swim dock, sunrises, sunsets! Ant problem in kitchen, bathroom and kitchen could use some updating to be more comfortable. Fan in spare room was not usable bc it was so noisy and loosely attached. But you can't use it anyway if a kid is sleeping in the top bunk. Bed in master was super squeaky. Overall though a great place to stay!
