Great place on the lake for the whole family - beautiful views - many activities close by

  • 5 of 5

There were eleven of us for the week, from 6 months old to 72 - and we all had a fabulous time. The house is beautiful and furbished with everything we needed for our stay. We appreciated the washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV's, AC, and bright lighting. We loved the porch which runs the whole length of the house and is wide enough for comfortable dining. We spent many pleasant hours enjoying the views of the lake and the sunset. Everyone was comfortable and cozy. We toasted marshmallows over the camp fire, had dinners on the deck, played ball on the field, took walks up the road, went swimming at the beach a couple of miles away, visited the Corning Glass Museum and Watkins Glen, and just spent time relaxing with the family. It was a great place for a family get together for us from New Mexico, Austin, Texas, New Jersey and Buffalo. Grandparents, kids, spouses, and grandchildren spent a memorable week. It was also nice that Robyn responded within minutes to a couple of questions during our stay. Thanks Robyn for a great vacation!

Beautiful property and perfect for friend reunions

  • 5 of 5

Brought a group of 10 friends together here to spend a week and had an absolutely amazing time. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and everyone had plenty of space. The upper deck was great for family style dinners and we spent a lot of time swimming from the dock. The location is also great as it's about 20 minutes from a Walmart for all of your grocery shopping needs and it's surrounded by wineries.

Close to Watkins Glen, good for a large family

  • 4 of 5

I stayed with my extended family, including elderly parents, teenagers, and a 4 and 6 year old. The house had plenty of room for us to spread out. The teenagers liked the adjacent bunkhouse and "their" tv downstairs. I loved the large covered back porch. Perfect for watching the afternoon thunderstorm move across the lake. My elderly father had trouble with all the stairs to the dock and never made it down. It was great that there was a first floor bedroom and bathroom for him to use. We all enjoyed the bonfires at night. It has rained a bit this summer including a big storm while we were there so we never really got to enjoy swimming in the lake. The waves were a bit high for our youngest and the water was pretty muddy and cloudy from the run off. However, this property is not far from Watkins Glen State Park, which has a really nice pool and kiddie pool. After walking the gorge trail, we spent the afternoon at the huge pool. You also can't ask for a better location if you want to visit the wineries. There are many within a couple miles in either direction. Also a really nice gift shop called Skyland, right down the road. I would recommend staying at this house. It is quiet, with plenty of parking. The owners provided all the necessities we needed and responded quickly to any questions. The best part was just the location, on a beautiful lake, close to Watkins Glen and in the middle of wine country.

Perfect waterfront cottage

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful place to have our ladies getaway! It exceeded our expectations! We enjoyed so much having cocktails and coffee on your beautiful covered porch and LOVED the view of the water! Our bonfire Friday night was so great! It was so nice that you provided wood ...in fact, your home had everything we needed. We found the beds, covers, pillows and towels all very comfortable and all of us said it just felt like being in our own home.! Loads of space and privacy and loved the extra "bunk house" Such close proximity to Watkins Glen and we enjoyed hiking there and returning "home" . Thank you for allowing others to enjoy what you own! We hope to come again next year! Sincerely, Sue A

A perfect location for a stay on Seneca Lake for wine and beer tasting.

  • 5 of 5

The rental house was great and the newly remodeled lower level was awesome. There were 8 people that stayed there for the weekend and my wife and I were very fortunate to stay in the lower level and wake up to a beautiful view of Seneca Lake. There was plenty of room inside for all of us, outside for parking, around the fire pit, and on the deck. There are plenty of wineries and breweries in the immediate area around Hector that we didn't to drive too far. We are definitely planning on a return trip for the fall of 2017.

Great Rental!

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was great and easily accommodated 7 people. The downstairs was newly renovate which was a nice surprise. Plenty of wineries, restaurants, and other things to do close buy and great views.

Owners were very responsive and helpful. There was a small water issue that they promptly addressed and resolved.
