About Yvette And George

Locally owned; we are a family of four that lives walking distance to the resort. My husband and I have lived in the area for over 20 years and are raising our two children in Hollywood.

We simply rent our unit in season and enjoy the unit off season. Our unit's appliances and ac are all new within past few years. Our Daughter is the special events coordinator for the local newspaper.

Oceanfront medium size studio suite unit with private pool and gym on the amazing Hollywood Beach Broadwalk. Well stocked kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave.

Best of all direct oceanfront Unit facing Ocean.We have traveled the US and Europe staying at many vacation rentals and unit equipped with items essential to living/or cooking in unit to include beach itens such as beach chair,cooler, and umbrella. Local owner that simply rents unit and enjoy our unit when not rented.

When renting in this building questions to ask owners and tips 1. When are you available if an appliance breaks. 2. When did you replace your A/C(most over 20 years old) 3.Why no reviews? Because owners have the option to allow reviews or not. 4. Are you really the owner or a third party realtor. 5. How come your calendar is not updated? Because its a third party and not actually the listing in the picture.

What makes this condo unique

PARKING SPECIAL. :Free safe overnight parking available 700 yards from resort (a savings of 18.00 a day) from the garage. A five minute walk over the bridge.

Shampoo, conditioner,coffee filters,toilet paper, paper towels, bar soap,hand soap,dishwashing soap,laundry detergent provided.

Great room! Hotel a bit shoddy.

The room was great! Had everything we needed; plenty of towels, cooking amenities, extra bedding. Right on the water, awesome location. Close to food and fun and the water taxi. Didn't need a car. Ubered where we couldnt walk. Easy. The hotel is a little hit, only one elevator most of the time. And there was a little domestic in the room next to us one night. And the guy at the hotel grocery charges whatever he feels like, so watch that guy. Otherwise it was great. I would recommend to anyone.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the positive review of my unit describing extra linens, other amenities,view and location. I am an actual owner advertising my own unit. Elevators had been an issue 2 are working the 3rd promised to be repaired this week. I have no control over guests of other units. Glad you enjoyed your stay. I always recommend guests to shop for groceries 2 miles west at a local store. Hope to see you again.

Faded Elegance

This property has had several interesting iterations; as a hospital, a school, a hotel/resort, and now a mix of individually owned condo units, time shares, and hotel. When you walk into the lobby, you know the place has been there a long, long time (since 1920, I believe). George and Yvette's condo also presents much of the past along with the present.

The accommodation is adequate for its purpose and convenient to the surrounding commercial shops. The Resort is ocean front, with a clear view of the beautiful Atlantic from the window. You can open the window and hear the ocean and feel the breeze, too!

The only caution I offer about staying with George and Yvette is the parking situation. Your free parking space is located at their house, which is a hike from the hotel across a drawbridge. This arrangement works okay if a) you have youthful legs for long walks to get your car, or b) you don't intend to use your car during your stay. The alternative is to use the large public parking garage located next to the Resort where you'll pay $18 per night to park near the property. ALL other parking in the immediate vicinity is metered and monitored regularly.

The parking arrangement aside, I do recommend staying with George and Yvette when you visit South Florida.

Owner's Response: Steven thanks for the positive review of my unit. Thanks for the comment on the parking. Its an option I give every guest we dont use our driveway due to having permits to parking on the street. It is 700 yards some might find it difficult. Ill try to google image a picture and put in my listing. For those who do park I always recommend checking in first with your luggage before parking at my home. Beach parking is expensive.

Home away from home

Very clean unit with with everything needed for home away from home. Excellent location in older historic resort, but no problems encountered. Parking garage on site, but very generous owners allow parking at their private house just a short 10 minute walk from the resort. Owners also provide beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, etc for an enjoyable time at the beach which is right out back. They thought of everything!

George was wonderful to work with! The room was fantastic and just as advertised.

The room, owned by George and Yvette, was perfect. The room was fully stocked, slept 4 of us comfortably, and the bathroom had recently been renovated. George confirmed that we arrived, and he was available for any questions or concerns.

The hotel that the room was in, however, had some issues. The gas in the building was turned off when we arrived, meaning no hot water, no clothes dryer, no stove. George was the one who let us know it was turned back on. The hotel used to be a mall, which is mostly closed, so there are boarded up rooms, windows, and dark hallways throughout. There are 3 elevators, and 1-2 of them weren't working at random times. We took the stairs a few times, which were a little sketchier than the elevators. The hotel, in general, is not well-lit. One morning, I was approached by 3 men in the hallway asking me if I wanted them to come in to my room. I saw a security guard a few times, but I realize he can't be everywhere at all times. The pool and the beach were very nice. The area was very near restaurants, and shops, so we were very pleased with that. The free concerts at the Margaritaville theater were enjoyable. The view of the beach from our room was breathtaking.

I would stay in this room again, if I somehow didn't have to go through the hotel to get there, or if the hotel does some upgrades.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the positive review regarding my unit. In the 5 years of renting my unit a gas line needed to be repaired in the building. It was operational the day you checked by 6pm. If not I would have allowed you to stay for free or refund your money. I do not depend on income from my unit but keep it clean,comfortable and well equipped for guests.The first 2 floors was an old mall and the elevators are out of my control. If you rent my unit you only have to deal with the front desk at check-in only. . You do not have to check out. All common areas on all floors are monitored by cameras.Again thanks for the positive review of my oceanfront unit.

Clean update room on broadwalk

Booked based on reviews. Room was well equipped with essentials numerous bath and beach towels. Clean unit cold a/con boardwalk waking distance to Margaritaville.. Unit in old historic building first two floors were a mall at some point. Utilized free parking good communication with owner. Check in easy no wait. No hidden fees other than what I paid on VRBO. Equipped kitchen with many utensils. Nice remodeled bath and tub. Would stay here again. Lots of magazines, movies, books, for eve. Nice guide in unit of local restaurants. Ample beach chairs, umbrella,cooler etc. Would stay here again!
