Myself, simply a lover of Oaxaca. My parents built this gorgeous house 10 years ago and it has given our family some of the happiest moments I can remember. Every corner of the house has something special with a story behind it. The house is truly unique and, within the setting of historic Oaxaca, I must say it is one of the most fascinating and special spots you will ever find. I can guarantee that.

This is hands down the greatest spot to stay while in Oaxaca. Can’t wait to get back! Miss the staff and the place already so much.
The house and all of the staff is amazing. We have all intentions on coming back. Raphael was a perfect host and the food we had at the house was delicious and perfectly cooked for all of our tastes. Best vacation ever! We’re very grateful.
The property is a wonderful place to have a family gathering. It is near the central plaza and conveniently located to shopping, dining and sights. The staff is friendly and very accommodating.
A very impressive and exclusive respite within the City
Exquisitely designed, lavish amount of room and impeccable, friendly service staff. Nicolas the owner kindly arranged drivers to all our destinations, and Noa the house master was kind, attentive and very much determined to attend to our every need. His English was good and he was truly interested in learning more about his guests. The included breakfasts were simple but tasty and served among gorgeously complimented table arrangements. Beds were comfortable and linens were changed daily. Plan enough time to both soak in Oaxaca and relax in this truly unique home.
So amazing. The house is beautiful and the staff could not be kinder.
Wonderful Stay in Oaxaca
Our stay in Oaxaca and your home was wonderful and served as a great gathering point for our family. The entire experience was what we were looking for and your home was a great launching pad for excursions both in and out of town.
The house and gardens were exactly as advertised. Clean and well appointed as well as centrally located for many walks to churches, museums, markets, restaurants and nightly music venues. Rafael, Sylvia and Minerva provided an excellent level of service and Rafael’s advice on trips and travel was much appreciated. Juan Manuel’s driving was excellent, safe and his advice and company were also appreciated. Morning coffee in the garden followed by a Mexican breakfast was a nice way to begin each day.
Our trips out of town to Hierve del Agua (swimming), Monte Albán, El Árbol de Tule, Mitla, Yagul, Los Pueblos Mancomunados (zip line), and tours to weaving, pottery and a mescal distillery were also great fun and very educational.
I have to say that Oaxaca doesn’t usually come up as a top destination in Mexico. However, from my viewpoint, Oaxaca was a great location and easy to get to. Not overly touristy and the Mexican hospitality was exceptional wherever we went.
Thanks again Nicolas for providing such an incredible venue and service for what turned out to be a very memorable and enjoyable experience.
Oaxaca is the most fascinating city in all of Mexico, with magic and history in every corner. Discover the real essence of Mexico through Oaxaca's culture, traditions, art, food, museums… and the list goes on and on…. Archaeological sites of Monte Alban, Mitla and other are ideal day trips, along with the most beautiful towns around the valley.
Convent of Santo Domingo is a must see, along with its botanical garden and Museum. The newly renovated San Pablo Temple is also breathtaking. Of course, the Museum of Contemporary Arts, along with the Tamayo Museum and the Cathedral are all fabulous. There is not enough space for me to write all the wonders you must visit in Oaxaca...
