A perfect stay for those who love the outdoors!
Charming little cabin with a breathtaking view of the James River. The view of the mountains every morning was a wonderful way to greet the day. The cabin had all the necessities for a comfortable stay. Jim was always helpful and quick to respond to our questions. I would feel very comfortable recommending this cabin to a friend. Can't wait to stay there again!

The cabin was very clean and well furnished. We made good use of the kitchen and kitchen table. The back porch provided a great view of the small valley below. We were able to hear and see the train in the distance, but it wasn't a bother at all, we actually found it very charming. The drive up to the cabin is on a mainly gravel path, but my small sedan had no issues. A small portable firepit and firewood were provided and greatly appreciated. We turned on the outdoor lights late one night and were excited to see five large deer grazing in the yard. We would definitely stay again and would highly recommend this cabin to family and friends! :)

If you are looking for a quite peaceful place, this is your place. The view is beautiful and the cabin certainly provided all you need to keep you comfortable. I would recommend Cabin on the Bluff to both family and friends. I will be going back and have already made the reservation. Don't miss the Natural Bridge which is near by.
This place was incredible! We stayed for only two nights but we had the greatest time. A beautiful view from the cabin, everything you need. We will certainly be back to visit again. The owner was extremely friendly and easy to work with. We actually left some jewelry that he went up there and found and shipped it back to us before we even knew it was missing! If you are looking to get away from the city and relax for 2 or 3 days I would recommend this spot 100%!
This place is great for a quiet mountain getaway! The cabin is very clean and cozy, and has an incredible screened in porch. We pretty much spent our entire visit on the porch taking in the beautiful views of the river and mountains. It was such a great escape, tucked away on a beautiful and secluded piece of property that is very we'll maintained. Jim, the owner, was very helpful and responsive and graciously accommodated our early arrival. We will definitely be coming back for a longer visit!
