Initial stressful taxi ride from the airport , but when eventually arrived a dip in the pool and glass of the kindly left red wine allowed us to unwind.
The views are stunning and the town of Soller is just lovely. If you are there on a Saturday there is a great market in the town square. A ride on the train to the port is a must. We hired a scooter and took in some of the sites. Getting around the one way system and narrow streets can. be a challenge. A visit to the botanical gardens is also recommended . We loved being able to cook outside and sit watching the sun go down. We picked ripe figs from the trees and lemons for our gin. This really is a place that allows you to relax.
Fantastic little casita .
The photos don’t really do this justice . It was. Very quaint and peaceful and the owners were very helpful .
The only thing negative was the access which is only possible by a very small car as the driveway is narrow and steep . It didn’t cause us a problem but I thought I it should be mentioned
Beautiful location, well equipped casita.
Sóller is a lovely village and the casita sits on the hillside above nestled in orange and lemon groves, with wonderful views of the village and the surrounding mountains.
A fabulous spot for long mountain hikes or simply soaking up the sun.
A perfect escape for 2
The photos are stunning but can't really convey the peace and tranquility of this hillside oasis. We have a firm rule of 'never going back' and always finding new destinations and places to stay, but this may be the one exception to the rule!
Beautiful scenery, comfortable outdoor spaces, a great pool - and the hosts - who were helpful from a discrete distance - have thought of everything, even a good selection of books.
Be sure to walk the footpath down to town - it's 10 minutes down ( and probably 15-20 back ) but we did it 2 or 3 times ( including hauling groceries back from the Saturday market ) and it was a great way to just slow down and appreciate the beauty of the area.
This vacation - and this property - will linger long in the memory. 6 stars.
A stunning property making a wonderful holiday. The location is perfect, only 10 minutes walk from the centre of Soller but high enough to give a sense of privacy and a beautiful view across the valley. The Casita was spotlessly clean with facilities exactly as described; all-mod-cons (TV, Wi-Fi etc.), a plentiful supply of towels, ample kitchen equipment and fresh oranges for a morning juice. Our hosts could not have been more friendly and helpful to us, but at the same time never intruded on our personal space. The gardens are immaculately maintained, the chlorine-free pool is a fantastic luxury and the donkeys and cats provided a wonderful sense of homeliness. Soller is a perfect base for walking and you don't need a car to get to a number of beautiful trails. And although there are many attractions and restaurants nearby we often found ourselves relaxing in the evening on the terrace with food we had cooked and a glass or two of wine. Sometimes the Casita was too good to leave. We couldn't give it a stronger recommendation - just please don't book it for when we want to come back!
Beautiful and relaxing - spectacular views over the Sóller valley. Away from the madding crowd but only a short walk to the heart of town. Our perfect holiday. We’ve been before and we’ll be back again.
Here in the northwest of the island you will find the highest mountain of the Tramuntana mountain range with a summit of about 1450 m - an absolutely ideal location for hikers. But also for normal walks through the beautiful and aromatic orange and lemon groves, this part of the island with its mountains and valleys and the picturesque coast of Deiá is a unique and charming relaxation region. The old natural harbour of Puerto de Sóller (about 3 km from the centre) offers good swimming and water sport options. Countless restaurants are present. Each season has its charm, for example, the blooming almonds during the end of January, the spring with countless flowers and the aromatic fall, with swimming or umbrella weather, very beautiful. July and August are primarily very warm and dry, ideal for a swimming holiday at stunningly located bays (Calas). Even if it looks dry and bad out during the high summer months in other places on the island, here it is always green.
