Why Corinne Dooley chose White Mountains

I don't like condos....I prefer to have a yard and trees.

What makes this house unique

This is a great house for large groups, friends and family. The house has a full basement with lots of games to keep kids of all ages busy. The main level has a small living room with a large fireplace, dining room with 5' x 5' table complete with 8 massive chairs, another table with 4 chairs in the large kitchen, and the sun porch. This gives larges groups plenty of room to spread out. The back yard is about 2 1/2 acres of landscaped lawn, great for all kinds of outdoor activities. There is tons of parking.

There's no place like home but this house comes close!

  • 5 of 5

We recently rented this home for a ski weekend with our adult children and grandchildren. The weather was too cold to ski so we spent a lot of time inside. This home is very comfortable, large, and has everything a family could need. It's also in a great spot if you like to ski!

Fit our needs but not as advertised

  • 1 of 5

This house fit our needs. There were enough bedrooms, and it was conveniently located. It is not fancy, or modern, and the kitchen is badly in need of updating or at the very least, a good cleaning (the inside of the microwave was covered in someone else's exploded dinner--yuck!). We were extremely disappointed to find no hot tub, as one of our big "must haves" in a family vacation rental was the hot tub and the owner claimed in the listing that there was one. I emailed the owner about this serious issue, but never heard back. Given this, we feel we overpaid for a house that wasn't what we were expecting.

We found all of the house rules and "to dos" very confusing and limiting. While we had no specific complaints, other than the missing hot tub and filthy microwave, we would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Perfect House Rental

  • 5 of 5

This was a somewhat "spur of the moment" decision for our family to rent a house for a getaway weekend up north, but let me tell you, we spent a lot of time trying to find a place that had plenty of space and all the amenities we enjoy without breaking the bank. We found it here in Glen! Corinne was my contact from beginning to end. I never saw her or even heard her voice. Sure, I could of called her but I found it convenient to do everything by email and text and she was very quick and responsive. All my questions and concerns were answered quickly, professionally and in a very timely manner. On to the property... we had a good size group. 7 Adults and 2 children. When we arrived, the house was very clean and ready for us. The house was perfect for our family. The upstairs had 4 bedrooms that fit all of us just right. Downstairs was a large table in the dining room, a large kitchen with even another table, sliding doors to a wonderful porch to relax on, and then another set of sliders onto a beautiful deck with a gas grill and a hot tub overlooking the expansive yard! The hot tub was awesome! We sat out there at night relaxing under the stars (it was like a planetarium out there!) and even had a visit from an owl! I have to admit that we were startled at first, but looking back it was great experiencing some wildlife! The lower level of the house had a pool table that we used constantly as we created our own pool tournament. Plenty of seating down there as well as futons for more sleeping arrangements if needed. We also has a blast with the genuine "slot machine" as we could play all we wanted and even when we lost, we could empty it out and start over! Finally I have to mention the outside yard... which is so big the word "yard" doesn't do it justice. We played Boccie ball, Croquet, Frisbee, Wiffle ball.... so much space we could have done all these things at once and not been in each others way. We ended each day sitting around by the fire pit with a nice fire and making some smores. You do need to get a fire permit up at the local store which doesn't cost anything... I guess it's one of those local things. All together, this was a spectacular weekend that we didn't want to end. When we come back to the area again, this is where we will stay, no questions asked! Highly recommended!
