Welcome to “Casale Il Granaio”
A magic place in the heart of Valdichiana…
In the heart of Valdichiana, bordering on Umbria, a few km from Trasimeno lake and in the middle between the cities of Arezzo and Perugia, from here is easy also to reach Montepulciano, Siena, Pienza, Rapolano and Spoleto.
The cottage is in a evocative hamlet in the countryside, consisting of 4 houses originally intended to be the villa, the sharecropper’s house, the stable and the granary; nearby there are the farmland and graceful old church still consecrated.
I’m sure you to be at your ease in our homely atmosphere, of ancient and simple tastes.
Self catering apartment
You will feel as at home…
The apartment is located at ground floor of a two floors’ cottage, dates back to the end of 1800 and is completely renovated. Perfect to accommodate up to 6 guests, who can enjoy the garden, the park below in a full and complete relax.
In renovating we respected environmental and landscape bindings, never forgetting Tuscany cottages’ tradition and typology; everything was scrupulously taken care: the plan, material choice and reclamation, external arrangement and interior decoration. We gave priority to sobriety, functionality and neatness, and care to details and particulars.

I'm a sporty and nature loving person, I like tranquility and outdoor activities in general. I also like mountain (skiing, ice and rock climbing, trekking) as well as mountain biking and running.
During my free time, when I do not do sports, I take care of my vegetable garden and of my cottage's garden in Cortona. I like good food and good wine, I cook the products of my garden and herbs and mushrooms that I collect in the country.
Travel style: DIY, focusing on knowledge of the area and its inhabitants, with particular close attention to traditions and local culture.
Books: guides, sports, adventure and novels in general.
Music: Italian singer-songwriters (Cantautori), Edoardo Bennato in particular.
Favorite dishes: fettuccine with wild asparagus ; rabbit stew with toasted black cabbage and black olives.
My motto: never give up, the top is the goal, but you must be able to stop if needed and especially you need to know how to return down to the valley!
I would like to have curious and sporty guests, who love nature and appreciate the simple things in life.
