I am a seamstress and avid gardner. My husband is a carpenter and he built this cabin. I did all the inside painting and decorating.
June Umphenour purchased this cabin in 2003
We built the cabin to drawn friends and relatives to visit.
It's cozy and private!!! No washer and dryer, but you can use mine off the garage.
We loved our stay at the cabin! Quiet and relaxing. Loved the fresh baked cookies that June made us! Would come back and stay again.
Wow! This place was a perfect getaway for two! Very quality, beautiful and well-stocked cabin. The property is quiet and peaceful, and the owners are wonderful!
Only one thing wrong, we didn't have more time to stay. Very peaceful atmosphere, clean and well equipped with about anything you might need. The owners greeted us, made us feel at home, showed us around the property and then left us to our selves. We had as much privacy as we wanted and yet were free to roam around the property. Our smallest family member our 10 year old dachshund was welcome as well.
Wonderful little cabin, spacious bathroom, gorgeous property, friendly caring owners. Peaceful area, close to everything, and so much better than a hotel. Had a wonderful time and we relaxed from a long drive. Thank you for sharing your cabin. We will definately be returning.
This was our first experience with a VRBO property.
The cabin was clean and the property is beautifully maintained. Daryl and June greeted us on arrival, took the time to show us around
and made us feel right at home.
June had prepared homemade cookies....OMG....they were fantastic and healthy, too.
We went for rest and relaxation, and left there refreshed and inspired. We feel like we have made new friends and we plan to visit again. I. Can't say enough good things about this place, the trees, the pond, the peace and quiet,....
Thumbs up to this very special couple. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a weekend getaway. There is plenty of antique shopping just a short drive away not to mention, some real pretty country to see long the way. Thank you June and Daryl for the wonderful hospitality. We look forward to coming back to your place.
June and Darryl were so welcoming and accommodating. As soon as we arrived they showed us around their property and the cabin. June had the cabin stocked with food and even homemade cookies and pancakes! We were able to walk around their beautiful property as we wished and fish in their pond with the fishing gear they supplied. It would've been nice to stay longer, but we were just passing through.
They met any need we had, all we had to do was ask!
The only thing I forgot to mention to them was that the water pressure in the shower was low, but that was it.
If we are ever passing through that way again we would definitely come back!
