Overview

Photos and Description of this 1 bedroom holiday apartment in Asheville - 35 Cassidy Lane

Apartment, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2)

Appalachia at its best. A mountain cabin re-created within the basement (first floor, ground level) of my home for your pleasure. Private entrance(s), covered deck/patio, open deck, great view, very private setting.

The location has an East-West orientation, with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Great place to sit, relax, and enjoy your favorite beverage.

The cabin is fully self contained. It has its own kitchen, bath with shower (no tub), and a small living/dining area. One bedroom with a king size bed.

Centrally located between I-40 and I-26, on Busbee Mountain, the property borders the Biltmore Estate and blends in with the Blue Ridge Parkway at an elevation of 3,346 feet.

Well behaved pets are more than welcome!

Easy booking online or with the owner using check or credit cards.

About George Stanley

I am retired. I enjoy my two cats, Olly and Geo.

I retired from the Community College System and enjoy meeting people, thus the rental.

I enjoy traveling and finding neat places. I hope I have created one here.

George Stanley purchased this apartment in 2007

Why George Stanley chose Asheville Area

I had a half -finished basement when I purchased the home, which I separated from the house upstairs. I envisioned a downstairs cabin so others could enjoy the beautiful mountains as I do.

What makes this apartment unique

Living on a rural mountain and bordering the Biltmore Estate Property, there is an abundance of wildlife - turkey, deer, pheasants, bear, raccoons, generally all sorts of wildlife. I have pictures of bear in the yard and in close-by trees.

At an elevation of 3,346 feet, the cabin overlooks a huge valley. The valley is often filled with fog, creating a beautiful sunrise at eye-level.

Beautiful and breath taking

Beautiful place with breathtaking views. George is friendly and a wealth of information about the area and then some. We enjoyed our stay and would love to go back sometime. The property was very well kept, clean and neat. We loved the deck for early morning coffee and an adult beverage at night.

Great views & rustic little cabin. Perfect getaway for 2 people. George was a terrific host

  • 5 of 5

Really enjoyed our 3 day stay at this quaint cabin. The views were fantastic & we were lucky to see a rainbow from our deck after a short rain. Also had a view a visit from a cute little black bear. We were tree really close to the Biltmore, Blue Ridge Parkway, Chimney Rock along with Lake Lore & various restaurants & breweries. I highly recommend staying a this cabin.

A slice of heaven...

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the little mountain cabin. The sunrises and other views of the ever changing mountains are amazing. The cabin is comfortable and totally furnished with everything you could imagine, even binoculars and an umbrella. It is exactly like the pictures show. We really enjoyed all the outdoor space and spent a great deal of time out there when not out touring. George is an amazing host. He will give you information on anything in the area, just ask. Even though you are attached to his house, I never felt uncomfortable and enjoyed George's company. There are so many things to do in the area and you are fairly close to downtown Asheville and very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. We are already booked for next fall if we don't get there sooner. We would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a nice getaway, but still close enough to many things to do in the area.

Great Place

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here and would highly recommend it to anyone. George was very friendly and accommodating, the views amazing, and the apartment comfortable and clean. We saw about 6 to 8 turkeys walking around. First place I will check for availability the next time we return to Asheville.

Comfy and Safe

  • 5 of 5

My puppy dog and I enjoyed our stay in George's comfortable apartment. George is a great host, and I felt so safe knowing that he was about. The view from the spacious deck is lovely morning and evening. Perfect spot for morning coffee and listening to birdsong. Lots of wildlife about. The apartment was cozy and clean. I recommend it to anyone who wants to be convenient to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway.
