-RedAwning (RA-reservation manager) had not sent me the contract that had to be signed before sending pmt, RA also didn't tell me that contract had to be sent to Buckingham Properties (BP-property manager), and RA didn't send my pmt confirmation to BP. I got to know this when I called RA and then BP because I had not received check-in instructions/lock-box code till a day before check-in time.
-Because of the pathetic condition of the pull out couch (very old dirty couch, worn out dirty mattress and extremely worn out couch springs) and worn out springs of the king mattress in master bedroom made bed very soft so 4 of us had to sleep uncomfortably on the floor.
-Main and especially top floor temperature didn't get above 69F and heat didn't come out of half of the vents so BP sent an HVAC guy next morning, but he couldn't fix the furnace for upstairs so gave space heaters, which obviously can't cover enough space; downstairs room door leads out directly to the backyard and thus remains cold w/o space heater or closing other vents downstairs. There weren't enough thick blankets to sleep comfortably due to low temperature on the main and especially top floor of the house.
-No toilet rugs for cold tiles. In two of the showers, there is no space/shelf to put soap/shampoo! When BP says basic items given, they really mean it!! Got 1 paper towel roll for the kitchen; 2 tissue paper rolls, 1 soap, and 1 travel size shampoo bottle for each bathrooms. I've stayed in more than 10 vacation rentals throughout US and each rental home was stocked up on these basic necessities, but not this one.
-There were at least 7 dirty spots on the carpet, it had not been vacuumed or cleaned. Refrigerator smelled bad! Found live cockroach in living room sofas and ants in downstairs bedroom!!
-Asked BP for a partial refund for the inconveniences caused because basically we didn't get what we paid for, but it refused. Instead said they will give discount for next rental! After such experience how can it even think that I'll stay at one of their properties again?!?! Ha...
Big kitchen range/gas stove, pool table, gas grill, patio, backyard, proximity to casinos, restaurants, grocery stores, beach, boat rentals (10-20mins drive).
