It's the best boating base in northern Michigan. The most beautiful waterfront in the county. A huge yard for the kids to play, and dogs to run.
Three blocks to town, resturaunts, art galleries, groceries and the best donut shop in all of michigan. Fresh baked every morning, really true ! Antiques and pieces of history decorate the cottage, making for a unique experience different from your typical vacation rental.
We loved staying at this house! The property can't be beat. It has Lawn space and a sandy beach. The owners were easy to work with, friendly and helpful during our stay. The house itself fit us perfectly. Its an older home, very cool - perfect lake house but not fancy. The location is ideal. It's on the beach with a short walk to the marina or town. We would happily rent the Beach House again in the future.
My family and I stayed at this location the first full week of August and were impressed with everything! The location, beach, home and owners were terrific! The sandy beach and the crystal clear water were amazing to my family and I. We traveled here from Iowa and there was 1 40-ish adult, 4 mid-20 year olds and 2 small children and it was a perfect, serene and great way to reconnect for all of us.
I would highly suggest taking a trip back in time to this great location.

Jesse and her family have an incredible cottage that has it all! She over services you and will help you with anything that comes up during your visit.
The home is very clean and has all the amenities that you need.
Northport downtown is a cute up north destination that has it great restaurants and shopping.
We had a wonderful time at this home. House was cozy, inviting, well-stocked, and immaculate. Beautiful lawn and beachfront. We were there with 2 younger kids and they absolutely loved the house too. Met the owners and they were super nice, excellent hosts. Walking/biking distance to downtown Northport, and so close to so many opportunities for outings - we did a lot in the area but the kids loved the house so much that we stayed there a lot too! Very relaxing, absolutely lovely place. Thanks for a great vacation!
We had such a nice time at this location. It's close enough to town to walk, and they even had two bikes they let us use! The owner lives on the property and he was available to answer questions and fix small problems. He even took us for a boat ride.
We've stayed at several different locations in Northport, but this one was by far my favorite.
We are so sad to leave Northport after having a wonderful week here. Jim is a childhood friend of my husbands and now a good friend to us all. The cottage was very clean on arrival and there was a great new mattress in the master bedroom. We are sad to leave. Thank you Jim and Chris. We now have many more great memories of your delightful paradise. We hope to see you next year!
