This private home was recently renovated with granite countertops, new wood kitchen cabinets, new bathroom vanities. This property is a duplex with an upstairs and downstairs unit. The unit pictured here is an upstairs unit, but please inquire about our other rentals.

Enjoy viewing the canal and tropical birds nesting in the mangrove trees. There is a dock if you have a boat. You can navigate up to a 25 foot boat in this canal. If you don't have a boat there is a canoe at the property for you to enjoy exploring the back water canals and viewing the snook and manatee.

There is a queen size bed in the bedroom and a queen size fold out couch. There is tile throughout except for the new carpet in the bedroom. You have several dining options - a breakfast bar for two, or enjoy eating at a larger table for 4 inside or the outdoor lanai seating for two. The kitchen has all of the appliances and dishes you will need to make your stay comfortable. There is cable TV with a DVD player for your enjoyment.

The yard is very large and next to a vacant lot so you will have lots of privacy if you like to spend time outside. There is a grill so you have plenty of room for a barbecue! The laundry room is very large with extra storage if you'd like to keep your luggage there. Everyone that walks in says ''Agh, we would like to stay here''. I hope you will enjoy it too.

The duplex home is located 1 mile from the beach. Enjoy walking to the beach for breakfast at Docs or sunset cocktails. There are wave runner rentals and parasailing rentals there. On your walk or drive to the beach there are many restaurants, shops and boat rentals for your enjoyment.

In addition you can walk to the Tuscan Bistro around the corner for some of the best Italian food you've ever tried. Also within minutes of the house is C Level Wine Bar, Gatsby's Pizza, the Fish House Restaurant, Master Bait and Tackle and Winds Beach Supply Store. There are so many things within walking distance I'm sure you'll enjoy going for many evening strolls. It is a great neighborhood and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Why Sue Gauta chose Florida South Gulf Coast

This property is in an excellent location. It is quiet and private on a large lot, yet close to everything. There are limited waterfront properties in Florida and many vacationers enjoy the privacy of being in a home rather than in a condo. If you are traveling and more space is needed please inquire about our other properties.

We pride ourselves on providing a clean and comfortable accommodations.

Great Little Place in a Great Location

  • 5 of 5

Everything was as we expected based off the other reviews. It was very easy to find, right off the main boulevard, but very secluded at the same time. Just east of you are groceries, shops, etc., and just west of you is the beach. We love the canal. We took full advantage of the canoe. We intended to rent a boat but unfortunately due to the Hurricane Matthew scare, no one would risk it. Bonita Springs never was really affected by it though, and we had great beach days every day - Just a mile drive up the road, and you're at a public beach with ample parking (reasonably priced.) It is a very 'shelly' beach so bring some flip flops! It was a great beach, not overcrowded or as commercial as Ft Myers which is just a short drive north. We had hoped there were fishing poles at the house, but we were easily able to rent poles from a bait shop walking distance from the house. We caught some catfish, and accidentally lured a small, but harmless gator with my top water frog lure. It was very hot outside but the air conditioner worked VERY well in the house! All the amenities we needed were in the house. I would suggest replacing the batteries in the TV remotes, and maybe updating the TV in the bedroom, but other than that, we couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you to Sue for great communication anytime we had a question!

Owner's Response: I'm so glad you had a good time. Wow, you had some excitement with that little gator! I've seen tons of manatee and dolphin but never a gator. I wonder if because of the hurricane he got mixed up because they aren't supposed to be in salt water. Anyway, it will be a great memory for you. Thanks for the feedback on the batteries. I'll make sure they are changed. There should be fishing poles in the laundry room. I'll double check to make sure. You were a pleasure to have as a guest and thank you for the great review.

We had a great holiday stay

  • 5 of 5

The place was very clean and perfect for us. We brought our 20 foot boat so the dock was super convenient. We used the boat ramp by the rt 41 bridge on the imperial river. (3 minute drive by truck and 45 min idle by boat). Lots of places to go by boat. 2 bait and tackle shops right around the corner. It was great to have the gas and charcoal grills there. Nice quiet neighborhood also.

A peaceful retreat

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I love Bonita Springs and Sue's place is a hidden gem. Located just off the main thoroughfare that takes you to white, sandy beaches, we were pleasantly surprised of just how quiet it was here. We were here for a few days during Thanksgiving and the kitchen had everything I needed to prepare our Thanksgiving meal (I brought my own roasting pan), while the canal in back provided my husband a perfect fishing spot. The highlight of our trip was the last day of our stay, when 2 dolphins ventured down into the canal and were just right off the dock. Unfortunately, I couldn't get to my camera fast enough!

Many conveniences are just a short drive away and a few restaurants are within walking distance. Also near by is Bay Water Boat Rentals, if you're looking to rent a boat. We have rented from them from twice now and are satisfied with the quality of their boats and their willingness to ensure a positive boating experience.

Sue has been a great hostess, quick to respond and willing to help! We're already planning our next retreat and recommending it to our friends as well. Thanks for everything Sue! :)

Owner's Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay and a nice thanksgiving. Thank you for the nice review. Hopefully, next time you stay you'll get the opportunity to see a manatee as well. They are a little tougher to catch than the dolphins. Thanks again. Sue

Great, comfortable place to stay in Bonita Springs

  • 5 of 5

Great place to stay in Bonita Springs! Very close to beach and very private setting.

We had the 1st floor of the house. It was very clean and nicely equipped with everything for cooking your own meals. They provide fishing poles and a canoe for enjoyment on the waterway (canal) in the back. We would definitely do a repeat. The owner was very nice to let us arrive a day earlier than planned. Our little Yorkie like it also and even the neighbors were nice!

We arrived early in the evening and found the rental prepared for our stay. The size of the unit was perfect for the two of us as well as for our dogs! The neighborhood is very quiet, and is convient to restaurants and shopping, as well as a jumping point to visiting Fort Myers and Naples FL. The amenities were swell. Having access to a washer and dryer was great. The bed was very comfortable! I especially enjoyed sitting on the screened lanai and watching the fish jump out of the water.

In regards to the interior/outdoor features of this rental, I feel that it is in need of an updating. Perhaps more comfortable seating in the living area and fresh paint colors on the walls! The exterior of the property could use some paint and landscaping as well. A potential GEM in the rough! It was a pleasure renting from Sue and visiting Bonita Springs Florida.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for the recommendation on painting. I usually do upkeep on the rental unit during the summer as that is our slower season. I will check into the seating arrangement. I just put a new mattress in the sleeper in the couch so I'm not sure if that affected the comfort of the couch. Thanks again for taking the time for the review.

This was a great vacation place. It was very relaxing, picturesque, and walking distance to the beach. The canal was really a plus. Fishing for dinner with some success. A dolphin pod came to visit and were so close to the dock, I almost could touch them. Didn't use the canoe, but if time allowed it was have been great fun, too. The house itself was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was beautifully redone and perfect for breakfast watching the birds as the sun rose over the canal in the morning. Will go again. Thanks, Sue.

This vacation rental is situated on a large private lot overlooking a canal. Enjoy coffee (or wine) on your lanai looking for manatees and viewing the birds in the mangrove trees. It is an easy 1 mile walk to the beach. Wake up and walk to Docs on the beach for breakfast, or walk to one of the several fantastic restaurants within minutes of the house. There's Tuscan Bistro, Gatsby's Pizza, C Level Wine Bar, The Fish House, Randy's Fish House and many more. There are beach chairs provided but if there is anything additional that you would like for the beach just walk across the street to Winds for all sorts of beach supplies. If you would like to try fishing, Master Bait and Tackle is across the street as well. There is a canoe provided for your use. Canoe to the end of the canal to view some of the largest snook you've ever seen.

Barefoot Beach is a gem within minutes of this rental. It is ranked #2 in the country.

You can drive through this community and view the multi-milliion dollar homes. At the end of this community is a public beach with a boardwalk where you will surely view tortoises and all sorts of wildlife. If you would like to rent a motor boat during your visit, there are also many boat rentals on Bonita Beach Road on your way to the beach.

This rental is perfectly situated in the center of Bonita Springs. Explore all that Bonita has to offer - great beaches, the greyhound race track, quaint shops on Old 41, free concerts at Riverside park, and the many great restaurants. The Coconut Point Mall is located 5 minutes north of your rental. This enormous outdoor mall will take you more than a day to see it all. There is also the outlets located one exit North on I75 along with the Germain Arena that offers performances as well as hockey games played by SW Florida's Everblades Hockey Team.

Naples is less than two miles south of where you will be staying. Enjoy the very upscale restaurants and shops at the Mercato and 5th Avenue. Go to Tin City in Naples and take a boat ride to view all of the multi-million dollar homes of Port Royal. During your stay make sure you check out what performances are being offered at the 'Artis' (formerly the Philharmonic). Many stars do performances here while visiting Naples. Also, make sure you don't miss high tea at the Ritz Carlton Beach Club. This is truly a memorable experience. If you are visiting during the Christmas Season with children make sure you don't miss the Willie Wonka event at the Ritz Carlton Golf Club. Mr and Mrs. Dahl (Son and daughter and law of Roald Dahl, author of Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory) host this fantastic event each year. Also in Naples is the Naples Zoo, Waterpark and Children's museum.
