Got the job done, affordable
Overall it was an affordable place to stay compared to other options we looked at. The hideaway bed in the couch is rough for anyone other than a kid. The pool, right outside the front door, was fantastic - we spent most of our time there. Wow people weren't exaggerating about the train - at 2:30 a.m. it sounds like it is coming right for you in your sleep! My main complaint is that there was no extra toilet paper left so I had to buy my own. I didn't really like the Biloxi beach compared to Alabama (no waves at all, no crabs or animal life, the highway is too close, glass and trash in the sand), which has nothing to do with the condo but FYI if you are trying to decide where to vacation.
Very good condo with garage and great location
Very nice condo for 4 with tv's, washer/dryer, full kitchen, utensils, dishes, cutlery, and all the things you are used to at home. Balcony overlooks the pool, spa, and kid's play area. It is in very good shape, with a few nicks and scrapes that make it real. All on the second floor walk-up with 1 bedroom and a pull-out couch. We drove to the beach so we could carry refreshments, towels, and accessories. The pool is super and the spa is really quite comforting. Try Shaggy's for baked oysters on the half-shell with parmesan cheese and parsley along with the Shaggy's bloody Mary. Try the Royal Reef Shrimp pot at the Reef with shrimp, alligator sausage, potatoes, corn and a draft beer to cleanse the palate. Both are on Beach Blvd, Shaggy's toward Gulfport, and the Reef toward Biloxi.
Thank you very much for taking the time to write such a great review. Very informative and helpful for our future guest and is appreciated. We would love to have you back.
We always enjoy our stay at this property! We have been renting it for six years now. It is a perfect get away for our little family.
Well keep & securit community with great aminities
Great place, very cozy , great location. Televisions in bedroom & living room need to be updated .
Great pools. Great value.
There was only one thing keeping this from a 5 star. It was true to the pictures and the owner is very responsive. We loved that this unit is right next to the pool, and as part of the rental you have access to 4 pools and 2 hot tubs! The saltwater pools were a plus for us. The unit is at the back of the property so it's a healthy walk to the beach - but definitely walkable.
Having a washer & dryer in the unit was fabulous. The overall property is very well-maintained and we liked that it was gated. The fitness room located in the clubhouse was perfect for what we needed - a couple of treadmills, machines, and free weights. We also liked that this isn't all rentals but rather a lot of permanent residents who were friendly. Definitely a different vibe than a place that is all rental units.
Things to know: There are about 15 stairs since this is a second-floor unit. There's a train only about 75 yards away which means it's very loud and goes through in the middle of the night. Saturday night there were 3 trains. We never did get used to it.
We had planned on cooking most of our meals but there wasn't a frying pan and the grill in the garage was so dirty we didn't want to use it, so we had to buy charcoal and use the grill up by the front pool, which although doable, wasn't as convenient as being able to go outside, grill and go back and eat inside.
This is the only reason I can't give this a 5-star rating: Although the sinks, tub, kitchen counters, fridge, etc. were all clean, it was obvious the floors hadn't been swept or vacuumed. Without going into detail it would be a turn off for many and if we'd paid more I would've been really upset. But, we understand that things get overlooked. I emailed the owner so she could talk with her cleaning service. Hopefully, the next guests can say this issue has been addressed - it really is a cute little place in a great property with A LOT Of positives. If we're back in the area we'd definitely consider this again!:)
Quiet ,except trains which we liked, not the place to rent if you have mobility issues or senior, 18 steps to unit, bathroom tub wide to step into ,nothing to hold on. carpet clean and unit good shape, would rent again. All chairs for some reason is pub style and short people will have trouble getting on them, and dangerous on patio if children were to climb on them.
