Hello and welcome to my world! As a young school leaver, I fell into the restaurant business, which I did for 12 years and really loved it, I worked my way up to managing a local restaurant, where my son was practically born, luckily I made it to hospital in time, he is now 28 and has presented me with my first grandchild, they live in Barcelona where I hope to add another apartment to the 'stable'. Bringing up my son meant a career change, I became a food stylist, then a stylist, which led to a very low rung of costume design in movies, as I got older I decided to take a risk and switch to Make Up Artist as I always loved that side of the business, also I noticed they left the set hours before I did! and I was getting a little long in the tooth to stand for hours on end on a shoot... Well I inherited this property from my lovely grandpa who came to this country from Poland with just the clothes on his back, and made good as the saying goes. He always said this house would be mine one day, but I never realized he meant it, but he made good on his word, so when my son was six, we moved into the ground floor. There were seven tenants on the two floors above, it was noisy! as the years went by and the tenants left, I didn't replace them, but started converting the house into the 3 lovely apartments they are today. I live on the ground floor and always here to help. Though these days I am a frequent traveller to Barcelona to see my darling Clementine, then I will leave you in the capable hands of my second in command Mia..
Carol-anne Turner purchased this apartment in 1940
Its a beautiful Edwardian house, with large windows that let in a lot of light, its what I love most about it. I have lavished a lot of love and care on this place over the years. I really treasure this place and I hope you will too.
Whenever I stay in London in the past I always stay in Bloomsbury. I was a little concerned when I booked this apartment in Belsize Park. How foolish was I. The location of this apartment was wonderful. It was less than a block away from the tube station, a great supermarket, bakeries and restaurants. My cousin and I couldn't want for anything in the area. It was a lovely walk away from Hampstead and Camden Town. You not only had access to the tube but also a number of bus lines that could take you to various parts of London.
The apartment was comfortable with enough space for the two of us. It was light and airy sitting on the top floor of the house. There was a washing machine and a dryer which I love to have.
Carol Anne and Mia were very easy to work with. Carol Anne was responsive to any questions we had and helped us throughout the visit. We stayed for 8 nights and we would happily have stayed for another week. It was very hard to leave this apartment. I would without a doubt stay in this apartment again.
After a frenetic day of sightseeing in London central, it was wonderful to return to the tranquility of Belsize Park and our stylish apartment, a five minute walk from the tube. The apartment was very well appointed and thoughtfully stocked with necessities. Carol is a friendly and helpful owner who was there to meet us and show us through the apartment. The apartment is situated in a lovely street with a convenient choice of restaurants, coffee shops and a supermarket.
We visited London back in May 2015 and stayed in the beautiful third floor flat. It was comfortable and clean and was the perfect place to come back to after visiting the sites. It is located in the Belsize Park neighborhood and offers a local bookstore, grocery store, and good eateries just down the block. No need to rent a car when the tube and bus system is just around the corner. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
This quiet location is very convenient to the shops and buses with a short walk to the tube station... an easy ride on the tube to the tourist locations of London. The surrounding area of Primrose Hill and Regent Park are beautiful. Thank you, Carole-Ann and Mia for your hospitality.
We absolutely loved staying here. It was wonderful to have a quiet cozy place to come home to after a day out and about London. We have a family of 4 (2 teenagers) and it was comfortable for all of us. Super convenient location, a skip to the tube station, a market, and restaurants. We would highly recommend staying in a flat versus a hotel, and would definitely stay there again in returning to London. Thank you!!
Lovely and comfortable appartment in a very convenient location for shops buses and tube.
Short walk to Primrose Hill for magnificent views of London sky line. Thank you Carole-Ann for
making us feel so welcome.
As mentioned before, unique movie house with cosy sofas for 2 and waitress service. Our very own local stately home; Kenwood House. Keats house, home of the poet, open to the public. Burgh House, another original historical property rarely found in the guide books. Local swimming baths, gym with day pass options for the more sporty minded, plus acres of open space for joggers, yet the heart of the city is only a short tube ride, this area is pretty unique, you will be delighted to have discovered it, urban not suburban, yet green and eclectic, as a long time resident, i hope to pass on my love of London and particularly Belsize park.
