great fall break vacation
Loved the location of the condo and the patio. The only thing was the unit did not have small pots. There were plenty of large pots and skillets.

Frustrating and disheartening
I didn't want to write this review but I have gotten several requests from VRBO to do so. We chose Watercrest because of the aesthetics of the property as a whole as well as the location. That was the good part. First, be warned...the rate advertised is not the final cost - we stayed two nights and with the additional fees & taxes, the rate more than doubled. On opening the front door we discovered the weatherstripping was hanging loose from the floor to about door knob height. Being thirsty, we stopped at the kitchen to see if we needed to turn on the ice maker only to find there wasn't one, only 3 ice trays..in a unit we were paying close to $350 per night for! The kitchen faucet was broken, the dishwasher was not secured in place. The bathroom sinks were slow draining (on the 12th floor?). The deck sliding door didn't slide; we had to push hard to get it open enough to squeeze through, the sliding door screen was completely off the track and leaning against the window. The 3 TVs were not programmed to the cable modem & there were no instructions as to how to program them.......thank goodness for google! We got the living room TV programmed but had no success with the other 2. The Wi-Fi instructions provided by the website & property mgrs (Royal American) were totally useless - the network listed in the instructions does not even exist at this location. We called for assistance but after waiting for close to an hour, we were able to find the right network on our own. You may be asking yourself why we didn't call for maintenance to come on all the items? We only had 2 days and chose not to waste our beach time sitting in the unit not knowing when or if maintenance would show up. When turning in the keys, we wanted to discuss this list with Royal American but they didn't want to discuss it in front of other guests. They took our list, copied it, and said it would be given to maintenance. The end - no thank you, no apologies. We requested an adjustment of our bill due to all of the issues but were only given a blank stare. Had that happened, you would not be seeing this review but it seems that the property owner or property mgr chooses not to perform routine maintenance checks, interested only in keeping the unit rented to unsuspecting guests. We have waited 2 weeks to write this, hoping to hear from someone wanting to discuss this, but it hasn't happened. Renter beware.
