Super Nice, Nestled in the Mango Trees

Overview

About the property

Beautiful second story apartment. EVERYTHING redone in 2013. Nestled amongst mango, avocado, palms and pine trees, in a quiet neighborhood just minutes from everything in the St Petersburg and Gulfport area. 15 minutes away is Fort Desoto State Park with one of the 'number one beach in America' designations. St Pete beach is less than 10 minutes away by car. Grand Central district is only a few blocks to the east. The Pinellas trail is 3 blocks south for 38 miles of running, walking or biking.

The apartment has one bedroom with a queen size bed and a futon in the living room that turns into a full size bed. It is perfect for two people but it can fit a family of 4, even thou it could be a little tight.

My husband and I live in the main house and if you need anything I would be very happy to help.

For parking, please use the backyard.

About Pilar Leon

Hi there! My name is Pilar, I am an artist and painter. I work locally as a real estate agent. I am originally from Ecuador and I love to visit new places and meet people. I have lived in different countries: Ecuador, USA (Cambridge,MD and Orlando) ,Mexico D.F., and Italy. When I first came to Saint Petersburg, I just fell in love with the city. The old houses, big old oak trees with Spanish moss, the beaches, Gulfport and the little restaurants and art shows, farmer markets and that Key West- like charm. Everybody is so relaxed and friendly!!! I had to move here!!! So, I found this cute little and very old house (1924) with a huge Oak in the front!! and have spent this last year remodeling it. My husband Terry and I live in the front house and the 2 apartments are in the back. We love to sail in Terry's boat and we would be so happy to have you as our guests!! :)

Pilar Leon purchased this apartment in 2012

Guestbook comments from the owner

We couldn't have asked for much more in this lovely rental. Pilar is the sweetest, and the location is perfect for our needs. Close to Tangelo's, close to the beach, and just a hop to Dali. Pilar has made it very easy to feel comfortable here. Full kitchen, a/c, wifi. I'll be back soon! mk

Great location, clean place!

  • 4 of 5

We had a very nice time here. The apartment is very clean and in a great location, close to everything. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the bathroom is super tiny and there are no curtains on the windows, so if you like being up at the crack of dawn, this won't be an issue. The owner, Maria was very nice & accommodating. We stayed here while our house was tented, we live 10 minutes away. Our dogs loved the big private fenced in yard and my daughters loved the hammocks hanging from the trees. Thanks again to Maria for allowing us to stay. :)

Clean and easily accessible

  • 5 of 5

Enjoyed my stay it was very clean, easily accessible, comfortable and close to where I needed to be. Some people like morning sunshine to wake them personally I'd appreciate if it had bedroom curtains over the blinds. But I'll definitely be staying there again in the future

Great vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful vacation here, close to downtown, close to the beaches, and very safe. It was a nice, cozy apartment which fit well for the two of us and our dog. The fenced in yard was super convenient to let her outside, and the homeowners were very accommodating. We would stay here again.

Christmas stay visiting family

  • 5 of 5

The owner greeted us and was there when we had any needs or requests. My husband and I stayed in the upstairs apartment. The apartment was clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was fresh and pretty. You will need to be careful when walking around the bed because you can stub your toe on the frame of the bed that sticks out a little from the mattress. The apartment is fresh and newly remodeled. The bathroom was small but it we managed just fine. We had excellent hospitality and when our microwave's turntable stopped working, the owner came up right away to get it taken care of and even popped me some popcorn from her own home and brought it up to me. The outside has hammocks and chairs to relax in. I didn't want to get out of the hammock. It was so relaxing. When I got home, I told my husband that I wanted a hammock for Christmas. We would love to visit the apartment again. Thank you, Pilar for your hospitality.
