About Katherine Kelly
A Sarasota resident for 60 years ,raised on Siesta Key I consider myself a preservationist ,for Sarasota History and the environment.Artist and gardener are my passions. The first endeavor with rehabilitation was in 1996,another Sarasota Bungalow. Sweet Mango Manor was my next labor of love where I currently live.. The Birdhouse was moved to its current location next door on the Manor property in 2006.Living next door, I am available 24-7 for any needs the Bird House guests may have.
Katherine Kelly purchased this Bungalow in 2006

The best VRBO I've stayed in
Besides being conveniently located as well as attractively designed, Katherine's house had some elements that set it apart:
1. Nice sized kitchen with dishes, pots, utensils (amazingly I've stayed in VRBOs that didn't have an outfitted kitchen). She even had some spices in the freezer door.
2. Several places for guests to spread out and relax. There is a roomy living room, dining area, kitchen island, screened in back porch, plus a beautiful upstairs sitting area and a sitting area at the front of the house. If you have several guests staying, as we did, you'll appreciate not having everyone relegated to either their bedrooms or a single living room couch.
3. Stocked with beach and rain gear - umbrellas, beach chairs, beach towels.
The wifi was strong, there were even reusable grocery bags for us to take to the store, she had baskets of travel-sized soaps and shampoos in the bathroom.
I can't wait to stay here the next time I come to Sarasota.
Really cool eclectic house! Plenty of space with a nice private patio area. Close to shopping and restaurants.
We’ll be back!
Ah yes . Location location location! You can't go wrong if you want to do it all in Sarasota !
Clean, comfortable, and creative.
We have only good things to say about the Bird House and Katherine. A very eclectic and charming home, Katherine took care of all the extras that made it feel like home away from home.
Our favorite place year after year. It feels like home. Thanks, Kitty

Engaging, fun place
The owner, Katherine goes the extra mile to make her guests comfortable. The bedding is pristine and the kitchen is well supplied.
The house is magical!
I love this house. The location is terrific, across from a little park where egrets flock in the rain and where I could walk my dog or cut through to Publix. The Main Street is easy to reach on foot, and if you get rain, it is always possible to find a parking place. The house is comfortable, and everything was provided, including beach chairs, etc... I will return with my family!
We aim to please! thank you for enjoying this house and all Sarasota has to offer!
