Walk to town services - a central location for Adirondack activity
About El Rhoads
Having grown up skiing Gore Mountain and playing on Lake George, we have been lucky enough to view all the seasons have to offer in this beautiful Adirondack area and hope to share with you that experience. We know the area, activities and advantages of time in the Adirondacks.
Why El Rhoads chose North Creek
This property is centrally located. You can walk to town for all services. Adventures await close by on the Hudson River, Gore Mountain, Historical Train station/museum and the small town pace of a true Adirondack town.
What makes this Apartment unique
Located on the edge of town, this property avoids the noise and traffic of restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity but is within walking distance (2 city blocks), of all the fun! Summer time offers shuttle from the North Creek Train Station to the apartment and winter offers a free shuttle stop in town to Gore! Our goal is to be a laid back, casual, clean and restful homebase for your Adirondack Adventures.

Great location, awesome experience
I would highly recommend staying here if you are looking to ski at Gore Mountain. From beginning to end, el makes your stay a 5-star experience with a focus on the details - leaving us copies of the trail map, writing a handwritten list of restaurant recommendations, leaving us bottled water, being flexible on checkout time, leaving us extra blankets on a record cold night, the list goes on! The unit is a quick 5 minute drive from Gore Mountain, and there is also a convenient entry area to store ski equipment.
Stay at Gore mountain
Great stay overall! Very convenient to the little town, grocery store, restaurants and Gore mountain is just a short ride on a shuttle. Very comfy beds, which is rare for rentals. Will definitely be back next time we go to Gore!
Gore Mountain downhill skiing and snowboarding, mountain biking, walking/running trails, walkable access to town and within 1 mile to lifts. Rafting, kayak/canoe the Upper Hudson River. Historical area with Great Train ride.
