About Gregg Anderson

The Anderson Family has owned Oak Harbor since it began in 1970! Jack and Nell Anderson bought the unique lakefront property in the late 1960's and soon began building their dream. Their son Gregg took over in the 1990's and runs daily operations of this 125 site RV park with an additional 73 mobile home sites, boat rentals, and 15 Lakefront Cabin Rentals as well! We have 4 generations of Anderson's living on the property and we take great pride in our family owned and operated business!

The picture shows Nell (middle) with her son Gregg (left), his son Miles (right), and Miles' son Finn standing at the Oak Harbor registration office.

Why Gregg Anderson chose Haines City

When the park was just being built, the Anderson's sold a few lakefront lots in a location separate from the rest of the park to help finance the building of the park. On one of these lots, a local couple built this beautiful and unique A-frame home as a weekend getaway. It was later sold to another couple who lived in it for many years. When this couple decided to sell, the Anderson's took the opportunity to buy back the property, renovate the A-Frame, and put it on the rental market!

What makes this cabin unique

This unique home has a lot of neat touches from the metal spiral staircase to the pecky cypress on the outbuilding, to the overall shape of the house and the gorgeous lakeviews from the living room. Come experience what we love about this Old Florida retreat and find what makes it special and unique to you!

A quiet stay next to the lake Lowery

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I always look for a peaceful and quiet rental location. We were not disapointed. The A-Frame is spacious, clean and perfect for a long stay. We took all our breakfasts and diners outside looking the nice birds and animals living on the lake shore. The access is through a RV park but apart from it. The manager Gregg is a charming person who wants to make sure we don't miss of anything. This was one of our good rental stay. We recommand the place to anyone looking for nice lake view in a very quiet environment.

Quiet and relaxing trip

  • 5 of 5

We booked this rental last minute and we are so glad we found it. It is right on a 1,000 acre lake (I think) and in a retiree, RV park. The rental was very clean and spacious for just my husband and myself. There was a second bedroom upstairs, however, we didn't use it.

Greg, the owner, was very attentive to all of our questions. We also rented a small boat so that we could fish.

We plan on definitely renting the A-frame again when we are in the area.

Priceless Views

  • 5 of 5

This A-Frame Cabin was everything we hoped for. It's tucked away in a quiet RV park, so we experienced no disturbances. The property had everything we needed in regards to toiletries and kitchen supplies. What can I say about the view?? Waking up in the morning is breathtaking. We were even treated to some Fireworks one evening. Not sure where they were coming from, but we looked up and saw fireworks in the distance. A definitely beautiful experience. The owner was very helpful and made sure our stay was perfect. We will stay here as often as possible.

Awesome! Very relaxing, quiet.

  • 5 of 5

Awesome place to stay! We had everything we needed. The place was very clean and well maintained. Beautiful view. It was very quiet which is just what we were looking for. The owner was very nice and helpful. We rented a pontoon boat and toured the lake, beautiful. We had morning coffee on the deck and watched a fisherman catch a big mouth bass right in front of us. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet place to relax with a beautiful view. We will stay here again.
