Location: We are located in the closest resort to the action on the Pigeon Forge parkway, yet secluded among the pines in the back of the resort. It is secluded and you will not have people looking at you while you are in the hottub. For elderly guests, we are on level ground and do not have steep walkways. There is only 1 step up to get into the cabin and there is 1 suite on the main floor.

About Ashli Hurley

He is an engineer and she works in corporate property management. We have another monthly rental property that was our previous home in the Chicago suburbs. This is our first nightly rental property. We have used VRBO as our source for lodging when we travel and we always wanted to try it as a provider of lodging. We look forward to providing our guests with the best possible vacation experience in Pigeon Forge.

Ashli Hurley purchased this cabin in 2011

Why Ashli Hurley chose Tennessee

We are new to TN, but have really enjoyed Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mountains. Our 3 kids just love going to Pigeon Forge and the cabin. There is an amusement park just down the road from the cabin with toddler-aged rides and games. Our oldest two always ride the train, the 'horsey' (carousel), and the 'boats' (spinning cars).

Alpine Mountain Village Resort was chosen by Southern Living as the top Family Resort in the area. Once we started looking at cabins in this resort, we could see why. Its location so close to the Parkway, the styles of the cabins, the privacy just made it the perfect place for our vacation home. We were so fortunate to find this particular cabin for sale. It was recently built, well cared for, and at the end of a cul-de-sac and nestled in the pine trees giving it so much privacy.

Since we purchased in Mar 2011, we have replaced all the appliances in the kitchen, new furniture, updated all the electronics, renamed it Paradise in the Pines, and given it our own style. We are always updating and adding amenities, especially things that give it more luxury and make it more family friendly as we have 3 young children.

What makes this cabin unique

We have considered that many families with young children travel to Pigeon Forge so we have done things to accomodate your family from games, loft video station, a pack n play, a high chair, and other activities.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This was our second time to stay in this cabin and we had just as wonderful of a time as we did on our first. The weather was beautiful and the scenery was great. We picked the perfect time of year to come. The cabin was very clean and accommodating. We didn’t want for anything while we were here. And we had no problem comfortably fitting our very large family (we has as many as 13 people here at one time!) Thanks for another great stay!

Was a great place to stay. Owner very nice.

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was wonderful. They stocked the basic seasonings to cook with so you did not have to buy a lot of small things. My nephews thought it was the best place they ever stayed.

Beautiful & spacious cabin in the woods

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was great! The central location of Alpine Mountain Village was close to all the activities we had planned during our trip. The cabin itself was spacious and had everything we needed. And the owner was very helpful and responsive. The only thing to be aware of is the pool is not walking distance, this was fine for us as we didn't mind driving. We would recommend staying here.

Great location but MOLDY

  • 3 of 5

Great location and great communication leading up to our stay. Very friendly emails and super helpful! Once we got there, we noticed that there were not enough sheet sets for the pullouts (there was 2 bottom sheets, ZERO pillow cases). One pillow case that was already on the bed was COVERED in mold and there were no extras. The upstairs shower curtain was also covered in mold. The upstairs bathroom smelled awful, there was a sanitary band on the toilet showing it had been cleaned, yet when we took it off, there was brown water that smelled up the entire upstairs. We called the owners and were responded with a TEXT saying "sorry I can't talk right now" because they were in a noisy restaurant. The cleaner came over the next day and fixed everything but people were forced to sleep without pillow case and sheets the first night which was disgusting. Other than the upstairs room and sheets, we had no other issues, the cabin is loaded with everything we needed and we had a wonderful time, we would stay again if assured that the cabin was checked over before we arrived.

Owner's Response: We apologized multiple times and sent our handy man over ASAP to remedy the situation. As far as communication goes, we were at a loud restaurant with our kids when the first call came in and I texted to let her know why i couldn't answer. We texted back and forth 10 times within the hour so i could figure out how to make this right. I have personally spent 2 full days over last week in the cabin with a cleaner to address cleaning and maintenance items. I am sorry your stay was not perfect and i hope you would give us another chance to make it right when you are in the Smokies the next time.

Perfect family vacation home!

  • 5 of 5

Convienient, plenty of room, tastefully decorated, loads for kids to do, kitchen fully equiped, comfortable beds, very hot, hot tub! We will definantly book this same cabin again! Easy to book and owners very helpful! There is a wet bar in the downstairs game room which is very nice and dozens of DVD's in case you get bored (NOT) and need something to do. The downstairs bedroom is for people that like to sleep a bit cooler, the main bedroom stayed cozy, and the upstairs bedroom was very, very warm according to our son and his wife. Heat rises, so pick your bedrooms wisely. Of course, you could always crack a window if you got too hot. Plenty of bathrooms for all was especially nice! The outside deck wrapped all the way around and could hold everyone. It was also nice to have extra towels and a container full of Cascade to run dishwasher! An added touch was the 5 in snow that fell!!! Plus the resort had our roads cleaned off pretty good. We had no problem going in or out with our AWD SUV.
