Large Lakefront Home on Moosehead Lake with Spectacular Beach and Dock

Bedrooms 3
Space 2,300 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 1 - 7 nights

About the property

3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, sleeps 8

Possibly the best location on Moosehead Lake. Tucked in a protected cove on a small point on the end of a dead end private road, this property with a large yard offers its own private beach as well as an association beach on the other side of the point with a playground, horseshoe pit, barbeque and picnic tables No matter what the wind direction or the time of day, you can find a sunny spot to enjoy the water out of the wind. Bring your boat or seaplane! This home has its own dock. (Note this is a floating dock intended for the docking of boats and not intended for more general use.) If you prefer, enjoy the tandem kayak complete with a third seat for a small child which is available for your use.

On the inside enjoy granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and 3 large bedrooms, in a tastefully decorated home with plenty of windows overlooking the lake 90 feet away where you are apt to see moose and deer enjoying a drink. Be sure to leave the windows open at night to hear the loons!

All this beauty and only 10 minutes from the shops and restaurants of Greenville

Leave everything behind, including your worries. Camp has everything anyone could want. Great price, owner was exceptional. Fantastic location, great base for exploring the Moosehead Lake region. The camp felt more like a home, than a rental, will be coming back here again. Fantastic value for the price. Kudos to Tom and Maureen for providing such a great place!

I want to thank the Hopkins for sharing their home with us. It's a very well maintained home. When I retired to the master bedroom in the evenings and closed the door It felt as though I was totally along in my own cabin in the woods. No sound except the outside world. Every afternoon the ducks would call me for their afternoon bread. Very quiet and beautiful sunsets. Hope to return soon. Next time I'd like to stay 2 to 3 weeks. 1 is just not enough.

Hidden gem!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay in Beaver Cove! This beautiful, very spacious and comfortable home is located in a peaceful and picturesque corner of the cove. It was so nice to be able to kayak right from the beach at the edge of the property. The Beaver Cove Assoc. walking trail that meanders along the lake was also accessible from the backyard. We saw loons, common mergansers, and a doe with her two fawns that visited the association beach across the street every evening. A perfect spot for relaxing away from it all, with the benefit of having shops, groceries and restaurants ten minutes away.

Beautiful property

  • 5 of 5

Well maintained home in the perfect location, a quiet cove on incredible Moosehead Lake. The private dock and beach were our favorite places to hang out. The ducks always came over to greet us. The house was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked although I might suggest some better pots and pans but we probably do more cooking than most vacationers. I would stay here again should we return.

Total Relaxation!!

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing week on the lake! The weather was perfect and the location of the home was convenient while still being private.

We were a group with 4 adults and 2 children ages 7 and 5. The house was very clean when we arrived and we loved having access to the garage. It was a great place to keep fishing gear, life vests, rafts etc. All 3 bedrooms are on the second floor. The master bath worked well for the family of 4 and the other 2 adults used the 2nd upstairs bath. The 3rd bath is on the first floor, but still has a shower if you had a larger group. The kitchen was much larger than the pictures show and was pretty much fully equipped. We did bring a blender but it certainly wasn't a necessity. Indian Hill Trading Post had everything we needed as far as groceries went and we were able to cook and grill all week. (The grill is charcoal)

We didn't use the community beach during the day but it is the perfect spot to watch sunsets. The beach/dock area on the property was perfect for us and kept the kids entertained all day. The water is shallow so the kids could walk right in without worry of a huge drop off and the bottom was sandy. Plus it was warmer for swimming. We were able to get the kayak out and even set up a hammock.

Although the marina is nearby there was not a lot of boat traffic. We rented a pontoon boat for 5 days and it was a great way to see the lake. We took it over to Mt. Kineo and docked it while we hiked.

We have been on lake vacations in the past and had a lot of bug/mosquito/fly issues. That was not the case on this trip. (Maybe just the time of year?)

The wifi worked perfectly. We watched very little tv, but had no problem signing into Netflix.

We were disappointed to find the hot tub broken (it was one of the items on our checklist) but it by no means put a damper on our trip.

We really wanted to see a moose, but no luck! Maybe next time. . .

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thanks for opening up your home last minute for our winter vacation. The snowmobiling and ice fishing were fantastic. It was especially nice to have a heated garage for the snowmobiles at night. The house was very clean and well taken care of. A previous review had indicated that the property was not well maintained. No sign of that from us. I would definitely recommend staying here. Looking forward to coming back in the summer.
