About Nancy Lazarus

Rick and Nancy Lazarus live south of Ithaca and love Cayuga Lake and the sunsets from its east shore. This is our summer lake house, a quiet retreat.

Why Nancy Lazarus chose Lansing

The lake access and views are great, plus Bill George Road is a quiet and wooded road great for walking and bike riding. There are some houses on the lake side and a couple of small gorges. Great blue herons fly up and down the lake every day. Owls hoot at night. Rick is a timber frame barn restorer and he built this charming little house about 10 years ago.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We truly loved our stay and it reminded me so much of a family cabin we

used to enjoy. We have already thought about a return stay so don't be

suprised! Thanks again for sharing your little retreat.

AMAZING FIND!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here for my birthday weekend and when I arrived, i was blown away! The cabin and dock exceeded my expectations. It was so cozy and had everything that we needed. Nancy was the kindest and most accommodating host that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I am already planning when I can go back again this year!

Wonderful, charming lakefront getaway!! Thank you!!

  • 5 of 5

We recently spent Memorial day weekend at this property and had we been able to stay longer, we absolutely would have! Nancy made us feel so welcome and the cabin came with all the amenities necessary for an absolutely wonderful weekend. It was peaceful, cozy and the views were amazing. We were tucked away from everything, yet close enough to restaurants, stores and all the amazing parks and hiking trails we wanted. When we were ready to unwind, we settled in to the cabin and just soaked in all the beautiful views all around us. We truly had such a great time and will most definitely be coming back in the future. It was one of the most peaceful, relaxing and serene vacations we've had in ages. Thank you so much and can't wait to go back!!

Beautiful getaway!

  • 5 of 5

What a lovely stay we had! The cabin was adorable and clean. We woke up and took a nice walk by the lake. This was the perfect peaceful weekend getaway. It rained so we were not able to utilize the boats & bikes but we hope to make another trip back!

Thank you for everything!

Nice, Chill Spot..

  • 4 of 5

Owner was helpful and communicative when needed. The house is relatively small but really all that we needed for just me and my wife and our 2 dogs. The house is within striking distance of a few restaurants, Ithaca, Wineries, and a short walk down/up the stairs to get to/from the lake and lake house. Only minor gripe was the tub (no shower). I know others got used to it, and we went in a cooler time of year so maybe its less of a factor in Summer, but I'd have liked to have a real shower. Otherwise, its a very chill spot, house took care of us for sure, and no complaints.
