Why Debbie Gaudin chose Victor
We fell in love with this place when we saw the beautiful house tucked away in a valley with over 40 acres of aspen, blue spruce and open meadows. We enjoy the majestic views of the mountains, the serenity of overlooking Skaguay Reservoir and hiking in one of the prettiest valleys along Beaver Creek. The many custom features of the house were another attraction from the gourmet kitchen, to the spacious living areas, the huge windows and wide wrap around deck for relaxing outdoors.
What makes this House unique
The large wrap around deck affords expansive views of the mountains and lake. At 9,100’ elevation the house is wonderfully comfortable with gentle breezes and low humidity. The house is situated among the aspens with no other houses in view from the front deck which gives the place of sense of calm and serene seclusion. In the mood for a peaceful and quiet place to stay? Then this is the setting. Within walking distance of the house is Skaguay Reservoir and Beaver Creek, which are excellent for fly fishing for trout. There is canoeing and boating on Skaguay Reservoir and hiking, backpacking and camping in one of the prettiest valleys along Beaver Creek. Nearby are lots of activities from gold mine tours, hiking and mountain biking at Mueller State Park (over 5,000 acres of parkland) and horseback riding, exploring scenic byways and historic gold mine towns, white water rafting the Arkansas River, antiquing, shopping and more. The property is only about an hour and fifteen minutes southwest of Colorado Springs.

Quite and Secluded
We had a great time. Loved making breakfast every morning before leaving for our adventure for the day. We stayed one day at the house so the boys could go fishing at the lake. Very well equipped with the necessity. We loved watching the hummingbirds.
Wonderful, great views, house very nice
Well stocked kitchen, enjoyed movies and books. The owner helpful and prompt in responding. Definitely need 4x4 in winter.
Definitely must have a 4WD vehicle during snowy seasons as the home is located on a steep hill.
Very beautiful house in peaceful setting. Everything you need for a wonderful vacation
Spacious home with great views and plenty of room to roam the property.
This place is the perfect secluded mountain home with awesome views. The lake close by is really neat, we caught several rainbow trout during our stay. We also saw a group of elk just as the rut was kicking off across the valley from us, we watched them from the porch. The altitude does take some getting used to but you get acclimated. The owner was very kind, the place is just perfect. Highly recommend!
Would have been four stars due some issues we experienced upon arrival but the property owner came by and remedy them that day. Couldn’t have had a better place to enjoy the changing of the aspens this year. Great views.
Beautiful, quiet place to enjoy the mountains!
This house was perfect for our family. The kitchen and baths were well equipped with everything we needed. Loved that the sunrise could be enjoyed from many rooms including the first floor master bedroom. The wrap around porch was perfect anytime of the day!! Our family traveled the Phantom Canyon Road and loved it! We appreciated seeing the livestock (cattle, sheep, horses) on the 6 mile gravel road to house. Beautiful home with gorgeous views of the mountains and Skaguay Reservoir.
Home is 1/2 hour drive from Cripple Creek, 1 hour drive from Woodland Park, and 1 1/2 hour's drive from Colorado Springs.
Having a family reunion? We also have the spectacular Upper Lake House (sleeps 8) just walking distance up the hill from Aspen Lake House!
