The Orange House is located 20 miles East of George Town on Little Exuma. The large upstairs veranda overlooks the most beautiful beach in the Bahamas, the Tropic of Cancer Beach. The one and a half mile stretch of beach is great for walking, swimming or just lounging as it is never crowded. Kayaks are available to venture out to turtle rock and other areas. The house sleeps up to six people and is fully equipped with everything you need except food and bathing suits. This is a very safe and quiet environment that is off the beaten path. Absolute paradise! You are going to come to Tropic of Cancer Beach for a day or two and eat at Santanas a couple of times anyway. They are MUST DO on Exuma. Might as well stay here. You will be glad you did!

About Teri and Charlie Lynn
When we aren't on Little Exuma, we live in Norman, Oklahoma. VERY different locations, for sure, but we love them both.
Teri and Charlie Lynn purchased this House in 2014
Why Teri and Charlie Lynn chose Exuma
You have to see Tropic of Cancer Beach. This is the prettiest beach and water we have ever seen. Combine that with the friendly local population, easy access from the States and we were sold.

Relaxing as always
Second trip to the orange house. The house was great as last time. Plenty or room and amenities. Love the second floor deck. We spend most of our time outside on the deck. The property manager was on top of any small issues we had. There were fixed within a couple hours.
That upper deck will take your worries away! Thank you for the review and for coming back to the Orange House.
Great stay in Little Exuma
The House was great. All appliances worked fine and the central air was great on those hot nights! Washer and dryer was nice to have! The upstairs bedroom
had a huge balcony to see the tropic of cancer beach which was only a 2-3 minute walk! The owner left ice in the freezer, jugs of drinking water, rafts, coolers....you get the idea. Everything you needed and then some! It was just my wife and I, but the place has 3 nice bedrooms! Plenty of room! I would stay here again!
Well, you sure would be welcome back! Thanks for the review.
Loved the house and location. House was clean, beds were comfy, nice fast WiFi. They are building across the street that blocks some of the view, but still can see water, and is only a 1 minute walk to be on the beach! Drive safe on the road from Queen's Highway and it is doable. Would recommend house to anyone visiting Exuma!
Thank you for taking the time to review your stay.
10 Days in Paradise
We were very happy with the Orange house accommodations. It was perfect for our family. The kids (teens) stayed downstairs and my husband and I had the loft to ourselves. The beach is just a minute walk through the houses being built (this easement will probably end when they are completed. Then the walk may take 1.5 minutes. We used everything within the house....everything worked. The air-conditioning was cold and there was always hot water. We sat on the back deck every night.... the bugs weren't bad at all. We came prepared just in case. We enjoyed the breeze off the ocean. Our teens enjoyed the Wifi.
We took the beach chairs everyday to the beach.... they are a little rusty from the sea water and sand .... but we were so happy to have them. We saw other people on the beach just laying on towels; we were the only ones with chairs.... NICE We brought a soft ice chest but didn't need to bother.... there are 2-3 in the closet to use. The house also has a 5 gal bottled water dispenser... we refilled our water bottles everyday... that was handy. We brought all our snorkel equipment and used them daily. The islands are teaming with life. The snorkel over is long but if you look for sanddollars the trip doesn't seem so long. The snorkel back was good because the tide brought us back home. Snorkeling in the cove just down from the house was also good. Lots of bait fish stay there and a huge tarpon too. We went on excursions 2-3 times.... our neighbor said several dolphins swam into the cove the day we were on Stocking Island. :( Just to let you know it is really good to have some squid on hand incase the dolphins show up.... they know your friendly if you feed them and they will likely return. We didn't know that.
The house supplies you several beach towels.... we always had plenty. We all got sunburned the first day... I recommend lots of sunscreen many times a day because the water is so inviting.
We rented an SUV for $1600. for the 10 day stay. I can't imagine not having a vehicle while you stay on Exuma. I recommend a SUV. We drove into Georgetown at least once a day and we had to go to Santana's just down the road at least every other day; It was also one of our favorite snorkeling places.... there is a ship wreck off the beach and several sharks hang out in the area. Our favorite day was a boat excursion with Tio: pigs, iguanas, sharks, starfish, grotto etc.. a must while on Exuma.
You guys know how to vacation! Glad you had a good time and thanks for the review.
The little orange house is a great house!
The little orange house is a great house! Everything about the rental process went great. The owners responded promptly when we have questions. The house is located on Tropic of Cancer beach which has to be absolutely one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. We were there for our son's wedding. It was a beach wedding, and absolutely the most beautiful setting you can imagine for a very beautiful event.
The house was well furnished absolutely spotless. Everything went really well. There is some house construction across the street in front of the house, but you still have a great view of the Tropic of Cancer beach and some of the most beautiful water I've ever seen.
The typical reaction for most of the people that were there for the first time for the wedding after seeing the beautiful water and a fantastic beach is" I will be back! We feel the same. "There's plenty to do on the island if you aren't satisfied with just spending some beach time . That was our primary activity. We did take a boat ride. We did enjoy several of the restaurants in the area. We found the island people to be very friendly and outgoing. if you're going to be spending any time at all I think you want to rent a car. We will definitely be back and we would definitely consider renting the orange house again it was a wonderful experience.
So happy to hear the wedding was such an awesome event. What a way to start a marriage! I can image how beautiful the setting must have been.
Great house on an amazing beach!
Tropic of Cancer Beach is blessed with fine, powdery, white sand and calm, clear waters. The Orange House is less than 30 seconds from this beach in a quiet little neighborhood. The owners are both very responsive and easy to work with. The house was clean, well organized and real a joy to stay in. It served our needs perfectly and we enjoyed our stay immensely! Many thanks!
Thanks for the nice review Alan. Happy to hear you guys enjoyed Exuma.
The main attraction is the Tropic of Cancer Beach. It has been rated as one of the top ten beaches in the world. Close proximity to restaurants/bars. Ferry to Stocking Island for food, drinks and a day's adventure very much worth your time. The house is a 1 minute walk to the Tropic of Cancer Beach. The nearest village is Williams Town home of Santana's Grill Pit and The Tropic Breeze where you can have food and drinks. Both are within 10 minutes. Bone fish within five miles.
Further up the coast is the main town of GeorgeTown, where you can rent boats, schedule boat tours (pigs, snorkeling, fishing, etc.), visit the local straw market for unique souvenirs and gifts. The fish fry just outside of Georgetown offers a wide variety of local cuisine and music.
