A cozy home away from home, this private Los Feliz (1 bedroom, 1 bath) getaway guest house (with stunning hillside views and sunsets) looks and feels like you're in the woods. Located in the hippest part of Los Angeles, it's 5-10 minutes away from an assortment of distinguished attractions. From the Greek Theater, the Hollywood sign, Griffith Observatory (which you can see from the private deck-terrace), to popular movie theaters, restaurants and bars of Silver Lake's Sunset Junction, this newly renovated 800-square foot gem offers you privacy, comfort, and a space of solace.
Nestled in the tranquil Franklin Hills of Los Feliz, this hideaway (which occupies the bottom part of a two-story duplex house with a separate private entrance) is perfect for a couple or a family group of up to four. The extraordinary view through the sliding glass doors (opening up to a private deck) looks directly out over Sunset Boulevard - for as far as the eye can see. Offering a 180º view of the Los Feliz Hills and beyond.
The house features a brand new bathroom, desk, kitchen (stocked with necessary appliances for cooking and eating) fresh towels, a brand new cozy tempur-pedic queen size bed (with fresh clean linens and pillows), and a brand new sofa bed-couch (in the living room) facing a 47' flat-screen offering premium cable, HBO, ROKU-TV, NETFLIX, and more.. .
The space also includes high speed wireless internet, central heating and air-conditioning, along with light switch dimmers to customize your lighting preference.
The layout formation is roomy, elegant and open - providing an elongated hallway of endless closet space. Two rooms are available for sleeping a total of four people:
the main bedroom (which sleeps a couple) and the living room (which has a sofa bed that also accommodates two people). The sliding glass doors in the living room (ref the pictures) open out to a private deck overlooking hillside views. And if you have a car, provided is a car port to facilitate your vehicle, so parking's not a problem.
Guests staying for over a week have access to the upstairs laundry room if need be.
INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
I'm more than happy to share local insider tips and general knowledge of Los Angeles area. Feel free to message me in regard to any questions you have, and I'll do my best to answer them accordingly!
The neighborhood is populated by friendly and eccentric yet respectful residents, ranging from younger to older artist type-professionals - in the music and film industry. There's usually plenty of street parking, and to reiterate there's a car port for your vehicle (if you have one) in front of the garage.
Overall, the guest house is in close proximity to tourist attractions, major freeways, as well as public transportation, so the location offers a convenient and versatile base from which to explore and enjoy LA.

Ofer Moses purchased this house in 2013
Beautiful views and well equipped (except maybe for a coffee grinder). We look forward to our return visit in April.
This rental was great while being in a good location and clean. Ofer made our stay comfortable making sure we had everything we needed.
We stayed five nights as a family and chose this location for its views over downtown Los Angeles and the Hollywood sign, as well as its situation relative to sightseeing. We found it to be particularly close to Griffith Observatory and the Los Angeles Zoo. The view did not disappoint and we spent evenings looking on top of the city.
While this bottom floor of a duplex shows some age, the owner makes a genuine effort to make the stay comfortable. From water bottles and chocolates to the overall cleanliness, we left with a comforting glimpse of the way of living on these Franklin hills of Los Feliz.
The host is an easy going gentleman who made us at ease, even when our toddler inadvertently caused some little damage to the furniture. He made sure to remain available at all times, but did not invade our privacy.
Be prepared to hear frequent footsteps, music and occasional party going until late at night. Bringing earplugs might be of good assistance.
The dedicated parking spot was always available and came in handy after hours in the Los Angeles traffic.
One of our best rentals ever, with a beautiful LA view, parking, and many other amenities that add up to comfort and convenience. We hope to return for our next visit.
We would not stay here again! It was clean, but not appealing. It is down a flight of stairs with leaves and a disheveled garden. The bed is awful, the bathroom very tiny and no water in kitchen sink. It does have a terrace with a nice view.
We arrived late, and Ofer had the place open and ready for us, which was very nice. As we had our daughter and son-in-law staying with us, it was a little cozy for four people, but it would be perfect for two. It truly is quite accessible to downtown LA, but it feels like you're in a little forest enclave on the edge of the City. The view towards the City is truly spectacular, but it seems surprisingly quiet. With the close proximity of neighbors, you would also think privacy would be a problem, but it feels fairly private. The interior layout is a little odd, but it works fine and everything was clean and in working order. We had a great time there and appreciated the feeling that it was "our" place for a couple of days. SO much nicer than staying in a hotel, and we enjoyed greater freedom than staying in a b&b. Fun and memorable.
