Located in the very fashionable district 11th of Paris near Place de la Bastille and Gare de Lyon and just a stroll from the beautiful Place des Vosges.
It is a trendy district where Parisians live and work while taking advantage of 30 green spaces open to the public.
If you like walking, you can stroll along the Canal Saint Martin, famous thanks to the film (Marcel Carné, Hotel du Nord).
The apartment is situated between place de la Bastille, place de la Republique, the Père Lachaise Cemetery and not far from the Marais.

The position was ideal only five minutes walk from a metro station. With a bakery, chocolatier and a selection of excellent restaurants just minutes away.
I had a great, seamless experience booking and staying at Arnaud's apartment (November 25-29, 2016).
Arnaud was patient and quick to respond to all my questions (of which there were quite a few). His instructions were clear, precise and easy to follow. The location is great, it is in between two metro lines (8 and 9), and there is a wine shop, a boulangerie, two patisseries, a chocolate shop, two grocery stores and more all within a block (or two) walk. The elevator is on the smaller side but it accommodated two adults with two medium-sized suitcases and back packs. The apartment is as you see it in the pictures on the listing, clean and well appointed.
It is also charming and very comfortable. Although we didn't utilize all it had to offer (oven, microwave, washer, etc.), it was nice to know they were there if we needed them. The Nespesso machine and the Wi-Fi received all of our attention and we were happy with both. The water pressure in the shower was strong and we never ran out of hot water. We found the beds (and pillows) to be very comfortable: not too hard, not too soft. Both bedrooms have large wardrobes with more space than we could fill. The apartment is in the middle of a residential block that doesn't have much traffic, so we found it peaceful.
I would book again (and intend to) and would highly recommend to others!

We had a great weekend in Paris based in this property. It is conveniently located, close to a couple of metro stations. A good boulangerie is a two minute walk away, and there are supermarkets and restaurants in this lively 'quartier'. The apartment was clean and well equipped. The owner facilitated an early arrival and a late departure, which was a real help. Access was easy and well-organised. The only downside was that we couldn't get wifi. Would recommend the apartment without hesitation.
This apartment was spacious (2 bed rooms, L.R., Kitchen, Dining Room & bath), well appointed and above all clean. The mattresses were "just right", i.e. not too firm not too soft and the two feather pillows on each bed were just like home. There were extra blankets in the wardrobes though we did not need them. We stayed in December and the radiator heat was very comfortable. The unit is convenient to two of the 10 subway lines in Paris with easy transfers to all the others. There are six floors to the building with this apartment on the 2nd floor. A small but smooth running elevator is available together with a well fashioned circular staircase with old fashioned varnished wooden treads. The block is quiet and good for sleeping. Multiple cafes are near by as well as bakeries, a cheese shop and small grocery store/fruit markets.
The owner was amiable, accessible and very thorough in his directions to the unit and how to get into the building once you arrive.
The only negatives were that it is assumed that you know how to operate the various appliances as there are no instructions. We figured out how to use the combination washer/dryer unit but could not figure out how to use the TV which is probably all right as we don't speak French anyway.
Overall opinion: This unit is EXCELLENT assuming you are not expecting Four Seasons luxury for the reasonable rate charged.
The apartment was clean and neat. Balconies to look out. Bedrooms were spacious ]and comfortable. Kitchen had everything needed. Great neighborhood with everything close by. We could walk to the grocery store, great neighborhood restaurants, and a wonderful french pastry shop! There was also two metro stops within walking distance. The neighborhood was quiet, and the building was quite secure. Would stay there again!!
Although the building is old, Arnaud has done an excellent job of updating the inside with modern facilities. It is well located for public transportation, small reasonable restaurants, and lots of young people. The apartment was clean and well equipped for a short stay.
