Wi-Fi & cable. Behind a ten foot electric gate you have secure parking as well as privacy for the cottage. Enter through a vine laden coral rock arch to an open airy living /dining room that opens up to a private courtyard through walls of french doors. A new cherry wood cabinet kitchen and granite counter top and back splash. Fully equipped -even has a dogie door in the french door if you are traveling with a pet.The cottage has a large walk in closet. Large master bedroom offers two beds- a queen & a twin (complete with Egyptian cotton sheets) with two dressers. The living room has a couch & a chair. The dining area has seating for four. . Walk to the end of the street & sit on the seawall & watch the boats & day go by on Biscayne Bay.Walk to the Village of Coconut Grove for a day of shopping, restaurants, bars,tennis courts,sailing clubs,boat rentals,charters.
Location!!Coconut Grove is the oldest continuously inhabited neighborhood of Miami, Florida in Miami-Dade County, United States. The neighborhood is roughly bound by North Prospect Drive to the south, LeJeune Road to the west, South Dixie Highway (US 1) and Rickenbacker Causeway to the north, and Biscayne Bay to the east. It is south of the neighborhoods of Brickell and The Roads and east of Coral Gables. The neighborhood's name has been sometimes spelled 'Cocoanut Grove' but the definitive spelling 'Coconut Grove' was established when the city was incorporated in 1919.
What is today referred to as Coconut Grove was formed in 1925 when the city of Miami annexed two areas of about equal size, the city of Coconut Grove and most of the town of Silver Bluff. Coconut Grove approximately corresponds to the same area as the 33133 zip code although the zip code includes parts of Coral Way and Coral Gables and a small portion of zip code 33129.The area is often referred to by locals as 'The Grove.'
Coconut Grove is directly served by the Miami Metrorail at Coconut Grove and Douglas Road stations.

The Coral Rock in the Main house and Cottages grounds the soul. The beautiful bay is located with access at the end of the street and the lush windy hidden drive in the deep south Grove provide the atmoshere,location and amenities that you expect in Coconut Grove.. The home has a wonderful feeling,excellent location and a caring manager!
Thank you very much for making us so comfortable when we rented your cottage at 3600 North Bayhomes Drive from January 1, 2015 to February 28, 2015.
We enjoyed the use of the fenced in back yard which is ideal for dog owners. The BBQ Grill was brand new and we used it often. The interior had a lovely kitchen and new refrigerator along with a convenient walk in shower in the bathroom. The couch was new and cozy. Your cottage was located such that it was easy for us to walk into Coconut Grove and dine at the many great restaurants. Also it was a short drive to the awesome lagoon at Matheson Park where we often went to enjoy the Palm Trees, Sand, and Water. The North Bayhomes Drive neighborhood was nothing less than awesome. And you Joan, are a wonderful, caring landlord.
The property is amazing, very relaxing & in a tranquil area. The property is very well maintained and cleaned at all times.. ranging from the inside of the cottage to the lawn. Location location location.. you can walk to the beautiful coconut grove to listen to live music, watch a movie or have dinner. And your only 20 minutes away from downtown miami and south beach. The manager was amazing, very sweet and on top of everything. I would recommend anyone looking for a relaxing vacation to stay here!
We were greeted by Joan and given our tour of the beautiful grounds and new heated pool which we used our entire stay! The cottage was very comfortable. Our private yard was great for BBQs. We had everything and more than we needed. We took daily walks to the end of the street and sat on the seawall and relaxed by the bay....what a bonus! I will definitely come back for our retreat in the Grove. One should definitely check out the Botanical center one block away at the Kampong. They give tours and its beautiful.
This is the second time that we have stayed at this beautiful cottage. It is well appointed, clean and in an fantastic location. It is hard to find a vacation rental in such great condition, quiet and walking distance to the Village. We will be back next year to escape the cold again!
If there was a negative rating available, I would choose it. We arrived on Jan 1, 2017 having rented for a month, and endured until we left the morning of Jan 20, 2017.
If you’re old enough, or like old sit coms, you may know the show the Beverly Hillbillies. That is my summary of this rental. The owner’s house is on the same property as the apartment, separated by her pool. Unquestionably this was the dumpiest house in an otherwise fine neighborhood. The yard was filled with old bikes, plastic furniture, a sand pit in the corner of the parking area, and crawling with cats. These outdoor cats climbed all over the cars, bit my friend (without being touched or provoked), and were everywhere. Once I saw the owner’s young daughter feed the cat his food on the table outside our apartment window, a place with two chairs allegedly for the renters to use. And because there are so many cats roaming the yard, their hair blew into the apartment whenever the door was opened and collected on the tile floor. Not desirable if you don’t like cats or worse, are allergic, as my friend is. Let me count the ways this place deserves a negative rating. 1) it was dirty when we arrived. I mean dirty toilets, floors, etc. 2) there was barely enough silverware, the few pans were beat up and dirty, as was the dishware and glasses. We had to wash everything before using. 3) the towels and sheets were very worn and long their past due date. 4) the bedroom had a queen-sized bed and a twin bed against the wall. The queen bed looked like the back of a sagging old horse, with a huge depression in the center. It was stained with urine, etc. The owner insisted it was 1 1/2yrs old Sealy Posturepedic but the label said 2005 by some mongrel company. 5) the apartment smelled damp and had obvious signs of mold and mildew (confirmed by the cleaner who tried to clean the shower stall). 6) one Saturday morning shortly after 8am, workers wielding jackhammers dug up the pavers around the pool directly outside our bedroom window. The noise and the dust were ridiculous. 7) the outdoor clothes washer and dryers were rusty, with water all over the floor. At one point, someone decided to run a plastic hose from the washer across the area you had to walk to access the machines. And one evening I stepped in a huge pile of feces in front of the dryer.There were so many unpleasant experiences that I could write significantly more. Suffice to say, Property, #3720474, is NOT a place to rent.
Dear Joan, we just loved your place! It's cozy, welcoming and perfectly located. It's definately "my" home whenever I come back to Miami!!!
It just happened to be the best spot for us. This wasn't a planned "beach" vacation. We went to Everglades National Park, Key Largo for glass bottom boat tour, Bill Baggs State Park, Key Biscayne beaches, Kampong Botanical and Fairchild Botanical Gardens, as well as walking into lovely Coconut Grove.
It would have been nice if there was a pool. Parking was tight. With the gated community there were usually 5 cars there everyday. One lane road was tricky. We did a slight pull over for a car coming at us and turned into a huge rock that was covered with tropicals.
We like the bungalow. Not sure why toilet paper was not provided.
