The view from the charming cottage is spectacular

  • 5 of 5

Attention to detail was not missed. Upon arrival we found a lovely note from Maggie. The cottage had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The delicious granola, yogurt, fresh fruit and fresh ground coffee was very much appreciated. The garden was simply beautiful, we enjoyed our coffee in the mornings looking out over Lake Champlain. The town of Burlington was fun to explore. We strolled the large farmers market and sampled the best local hot sauces and dumplings in town. There are many wonderful restaurants to dine out or enjoy a quite dinner at the cottage. It was the ideal spot for my husband and me to celebrate our 30th anniversary.

Thank you Maggie, you are the most gracious host. We truly hope to return again!

Beautiful spot and close to downtown Burlington

  • 4 of 5

Great place to stay. Very welcoming and a beautiful property. The bed was the only thing we wished was different.

Owner's Response: Hi, glad to hear all was swell....except for the bed you indicate. There is always something to improve this tiny beauty spot. Please tell me your suggestions for the bed. As stated in the description there is one full size bed with the footboard removed. The full size best fits this tiny house. The removed footboard accommodates those who are tall. Safe travels, always.

A beautiful spot in Burlington

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay. Our host, Maggie, made sure every detail welcomed us from her delicious breakfast, to breath-taking garden overooking Lake Champlain, to our stay in her warm and cozy cottage. We will definitely return on our future visits to Burlington. So lucky to have found Carpe Diam.

This tiny house is perfect for a couple, with views beyond compare. It is an easy walk to downtown Burlington for dinner or entertainment. The only thing that keeps me from going on with more compliments is my fear that we will have trouble booking the cottage next year.

Owner's Response: To riff off an old adage....Book early, visit often! So much to do in our fair city from staring off into the void of the lake and mountains, to eating and imbibing in our good local food and drink scene, to being entertained by the ever-changing music and performance venues...not to mention the hiking, biking, sailing, kayaking nearby! Thank you for your kind acknowledgement. Safe travels, always!
