Hidden Oasis from Daytona work.

1st class all the way. Beautiful home and excellent care and information provided by Ellie Mott. Easy drive into Daytona. Convenient location for golf beaches and groceries. It was truly an oasis from our work in Daytona for the week.

Beautiful house, needs some TLC

The house is beautiful but lots of little things need to be addressed. Lightbulbs burned out, broken switches, no toilet paper in bathrooms, garbage in bushes, towels in the dryer, crumbs on tables, cracks in windows, pool and hot tub need upkeep (huge crack in hot tub so it leaks) and pool was freezing! We enjoyed our stay but felt it needed a good cleaning and some maintenance done. Not very kid friendly. Our biggest snag was no key to the house..front door was unlocked so we got in and just had to use the garage door opener during our stay.

Fantastic place to stay!!

We had a wonderful time staying here. The house is bigger than the pictures. Very roomy and there’s plenty of space to accommodate everyone so if you need time alone it isn’t an issue. Ellie Mott was our POC and was fantastic!! Helped us in every way possible!! Thank You Ellie!! It’s very quiet and picturesque. I would book again without hesitation.

Was probably a nice house at one time.

House was one problem after the other. Smelled like rotten garbage on check in. Took two days to air it out. We found a wet, mildewed filter in the air conditioning system, which I bought and replaced myself. We replaced light bulbs and fixed cabinet doors ourselves. I rented the property because it had a pool, but there was so much trouble with the propane, that we only used it once. The toilet had to be repaired while we were there. The house was definitely not in check in condition, especially given the fact we paid almost 8 thousand dollars for the stay. Most aggregious, however, was the gas leak fiasco. We were unable to heat the spa despite the gauge on the propane tank reading 60% and everyone telling me we were out of propane. The pool heater person said there was a problem with the gas supply. The gas person showed up and replaced a faulty gauge and put a new regulator on the tank. We came home to the overwhelming smell of gas. I started trying to get some help from our local contact there at around 8pm, who didn't want anything to do with the problem and told me to call the rental company. I called and didn't get a call back, so I called again and was told that she was in Colorado and there was nothing she could do, call back at 8:30 the next day. Since I didn't think leaving a gas leak till the next day, I had no choice but to call the fire department around midnight. They came and confirmed the propane leak and called Amerigas who showed up about an hour later. He found an open valve which was leaking propane probably since his last visit which was two days earlier. He closed the valve and the smell eventually subsided. By this time the trip was over. I am a surgeon and am used to dealing with people and problems, and have been doing it for 25 years. I know how important it is to show concern for patients/clients. If I practiced this way, I would be out of practice. I asked for some consideration for our trouble and was told flatly no, and additionally I might be billed extra for propane usage. I was also told there was no propane leaking by someone in Colorado who was never there to smell it. I personally talked to the service person that told me he closed the open valve. If I could talk to the owner I would tell him you are poorly representing him. I will absolutely never use you again and will be sure to tell anyone and everyone that will listen, to never book anything with this service.

Owner's Response: David, we're sincerely apologetic about the issues you experienced at this home regarding the gas and cleanliness. We and the owner take feedback very seriously and we regret if the measures we took weren't satisfactory for your stay. In regards to the propane, the gas company believes the propane was empty due to the hot tub being left on continuously. Their company confirmed that there was no gas leak, and they replaced the regulator to make sure everything was up to code. They had confirmed this both with your party and the homeowner. In the check in instructions, it is mentioned that you may be billed for any excessive propane usage, but we are sorry if this caught you off guard. Here at Evolve, we hold each property to 4 Core Property Standards: Safe, Clean, Guest-Ready, and As Advertised.
