The moment you first arrive, this property makes a statement! You’ll find its interior very warm and inviting with many high-end touches. As you enter the home, you will experience elegant marble flooring leading to a grand 2-story living room area with a gas fireplace, 20-foot-high coffered ceiling, recessed lighting, multi-tier paned windows, and French doors overlooking the lake. To the right of the entry is a full-bath, guest bedroom with a queen-sized bed, and home office with a fir bead board ceiling that complements the room's American cherry judges paneling, built-in cabinets, and bookshelves. To the left of the entrance you’ll find the formal dining room, accessible from the kitchen and the foyer, which has a stunning 3-tier chandelier, judges paneling, and seating for 8.
You’ll love preparing meals in the gourmet kitchen, which has a breakfast nook with its own bay windows overlooking the lake, and seating that can be expanded to accommodate 8-10 guests. There’s also a large granite center island with seating for 3 and beautiful granite countertops to complement the American cherry cabinets and built-in upscale side-by-side refrigerator. Other kitchen appliances include a 48-inch 6-burner gas range with a griddle, built-in convection oven, microwave, and warming drawer. The kitchen opens to the large family room that features a cozy gas fireplace, 52-inch TV, surround sound system, and tinted glass to reduce any sun glare that may compromise your TV viewing.
Between the breakfast nook and family room you’ll enter the home’s sunroom, which has a cedar-lined ceiling, wainscoting, 2 ceiling fans, and a dozen tall casement windows for guests to enjoy views of the lake and access the 70-foot-wide wood deck and a bluestone patio, both of which extend across the width of the house. The main deck has 2 staircases that lead to a 25-foot-wide lower deck, which then has a single staircase to level lakefront. Between the kitchen and family room you’ll find a half bathroom and hallway to access the stairs leading to the home’s finished basement, which features a gas fireplace, sectional sofa, flat-screen TV, a full bathroom with shower, 2 sets of bunk-beds, and children’s toys. Head upstairs to the 2nd floor to access the 2 oversized guest bedrooms that have vaulted ceilings, skylights, and plush king-sized beds, as well as the private master bedroom suite with a king-sized bed and large bathroom with dual sinks, a shower and a whirlpool tub. Upstairs you’ll also find the spacious laundry room and pleasant reading area overlooking the 2-story living room.
Oneida Lake is just east of New York’s Finger Lakes and is sometimes referred to as their “thumb”. Because it’s relatively shallow, averaging a depth of 22 feet, it’s much warmer than the deeper Finger Lakes in the summer, making it popular for fishing, boating, water skiing, and swimming. Because it freezes solidly, Oneida Lake is quite popular during the winter months as well, and becomes a great spot for ice fishing, snowmobiling, and even cross country skiing. Oneida Lake is also known as a fishing paradise, containing game fish such as walleye, smallmouth and largemouth bass, northern pike, pickerel and tiger musky, and much more. This home is within walking distance of Oneida Shores Park and well within driving distance of the Baseball Hall of Fame, Boxing Hall of Fame, Turning Stone Casino, Destiny USA Mall, Finger Lakes Wine Trail, 2 ski resorts, Sylvan Beach Amusement Park, Syracuse University, and so many more attractions. The only disadvantage to this property? You may never want to leave!

Owner / Property Manager purchased this house in 1992
A nice place in an area where it can be difficult to find decent lodging. The owner was very nice and made things very easy for us to get access, etc......Kind of important since I made the reservation, but the travelers were my wife and mother.
My extended family stayed here for a wedding in the area and everyone kept saying the same thing - "This place is amazing!" There were 10 of us, but the house could easily accommodate more. The adults enjoyed the view, the space to spread out and the amenities, while the kids loved the lake, fishing and kayaking. I literally have nothing bad to say about this house, other than I wish we'd been able to stay longer. :)
My family of nine and I enjoyed staying here very much. We would recommend it highly and would like to come back another time.
The house is beautiful and comfortable and well equipped. It is so situated on the lake that one sees both sunrises and sunsets over the water. There are large grassy lawns, great for kids, both next to the house and by the shore. There is a spot for a campfire by the shore, which is nice.
We enjoyed the kayaks and fishing from the dock. We became regulars at the local bait and tackle store, where the owner was especially friendly and helpful. She stocks all things fishing and a variety of baits.
The shoreline is rocky, and the lake bottom is somewhat weedy and rocky, so water shoes are a good idea. The house has several pairs. The water is shallow for quite a way out, but it's warm, and overall swimming was pleasant. The Oneida Shores Park, a few minutes down the road, was closed for swimming, but the boat launch and campground were open.
The rooms in the house are all spacious and full of light. We never felt as though we were on top of one another. The basement would be terrific for kids. The kitchen has everything, and loads of free storage space for pantry items. There are plenty of common rooms so people can do different things without groups competing or disturbing each other.
An altogether enjoyable place. Thank you for sharing it.
Three generations of family stayed in this beautiful home for a wedding at the Lakeshore Country club. Great proximity for a trip to the Ithaca waterfalls and Cooperstown hall of fame. Really enjoyed nighttime kayaking with the two kayaks provided and we brought two. Pictures do not do justice to the home with all the amenities. The Study was one of my favorite rooms. Owners were very responsive and very nice. Great week and we will be back as our daughter settled up there now and we are from Philadelphia.
Traveled with a group of ten adults for a football game and decided to stay here instead of a hotel. BEST decision of the entire trip.
The house is huge and extremely well maintained. The pictures really do not do this house justice at all. The kitchen is amazing, we actually made sure to plan meals just around cooking in it instead of eating out. The rooms are all very spacious and surprisingly quiet considering all the hardwood floors. There are enough bathrooms that there was hardly ever a wait, even with 5 women trying to get ready at the same time.
The views are phenomenal. Sunrise over the little island to the east of the house makes for great pictures. The back deck is a perfect place to spend the morning with coffee. Access to the main highway is a nice plus and there a few stores and restaurants very close. Syracuse is a short 10 min drive and the Finger Lakes area is around an hour away so very drive-able.
Overall this house is well worth booking, you wont be disappointed. The only problem was having to leave and not getting to stay longer. We will be back!!
Two families (nine people) rented the house for a week so we could relax and make a couple college visits to NE schools. First off, the pictures actually undersell the place. The views and accomodations are spectacular. One teenage daughter, not one for complimenting any adults, said after a few hours, "Wow, sorry I doubted you, Dad." House is so big we never even got to the spacious basement. Kayaks and canoes are fun. Massive sidelawn allows for wiffleball etc. We rented a pontoon boat from nice folks at Boat Oneida and spent a day on the water with the kids tubing. Baseball Hall of Fame was an easy day trip. Bring passports if you want to see both sides of Niagara Falls, though. Oh, and food shopping is at Wegmans!!! About 10 minutes away. Kids did the Destiny USA mall and said they enjoyed it. Downsides: Not many. Nearby lake beach was just OK and lake water not the clearest. Overall, would rent again in a heartbeat. Would happily spend a whole week just sitting on the deck staring at the water.
