Great trip great place
Very clean spacious apartment. Also very secure. A small tienda across the street and a large supermarket about 5 blocks away. Patty was kind enough to walk with me and show me the way to and from the store.
I had so many tours booked I did not have time to explore Cusco.
I want to return and explore the City. I will definitely stay at Jay’s Primavera apartment again.
There is a whole lot of wonderous history in this part of Peru.
Clean and room to spread out
Very clean apartment and enjoyed all the extra room. Newer appliances. Would like to have some form of heat during the winter nights. It was about 1 mile away from most activities, so we got plenty of walking in each day.
Beautiful property! A nice walk to Plaza De Armas. Lourdes and Patty were fantastic!
Loved staying here. Warm, as Cusco standards go. Warm water to wash. Terrace made you feel as if you were touching the clouds! Lourdes and Patty helpful and sweet!
Thank you for your great review. I am happy you enjoyed your stay.
Also thank you for your comments about Patty and Lourdes, they are happy to hear about it!
Patricia, the house keeper living on the top floor was awesome. Property is okay. Hot water problem
Apartment is good. 2 bedroom, small study, living room and kitchen. Reasonably clean. Very limited pots and pans. We had constant sewage smell. The drainage system for the entire city of Cusco is not that great. We also had hot water problem for shower. Owner tried to fix it. Hot water is heated by CNG cylinders. Overall stay not bad. Patricia, the housekeeper was a boon. Helped us with everything with a smile. You do need google translator to communicate with her. She compensated for the flaws mentioned above. If owner could fix the hot water and sewage problems and add some nice pots, pans and cutlery and plates, it would make a big difference.
Thank you for your honest review and feedback, we really appreciate it. We listened to your feedback and addressed the issues.
- We added more pots, pans, plates and utensils
- We are now ensuring that the gas tanks are filled before guests arrive
- Also, we looked into the drain issue. As you mentioned unfortunately the city drain system is not ideal, and drains can clog easily. The issue appeared to be infrequent, but we were able to isolate the drain that was producing the bad odor and fixed the issue.
We thank you again for your valuable feedback, especially your kind comments about Patricia who was very happy to hear about it.
Nice clean place to stay.
We stayed for 3 days and were happy with our experience. The apartment is very well maintained and clean. The neighborhood is good and there plenty of taxis passing by regularly. The kitchen has a few cooking pots and pans but don’t expect to be able to cook an elaborate meal.
Based on the description I expected a light breakfast to be provided. And I thought there was a washer and dryer in the apartment. I didn’t read the fine print about the pay as you go washer on the top floor. I received an email the day before our arrival stating that breakfast would not be provided. However, the owner arranged a driver to pick us up from the airport which was nice. Overall, I would recommend staying here.
Hospitality and so much more!
We stayed a wonderful 2 weeks at Samana. The location is GREAT! Just a few miles from Plaza de Armas and a short walk to just about everything in Cusco. (btw if you are not up for a walk, you can get anywhere by taxi for just a few soles). Betty is the hostess with the mostest. She will set up tours for you if that is what you prefer. She had our trip planned out so that we could do Machu Picchu, as well as seeing all the sites around Cusco. Breakfast was included and was excellent. It was great to try out authentic Peruvian cuisine. The apartment was very spacious, modern and clean. There is nothing that I would have changed about our time there. Thank you for a great experience.
Matt, Thank you very much for the wonderful review! I'm happy to hear that you had a great experience.
