Absolutely Charming!

  • 4 of 5

A cozy little cottage, centrally located to many of the northern England/Yorkshire sights. The seaside coast, the moors, farmers' markets and even the Lake District were all a doable drive from the cottage. With a lovely stream out the front door, and a meadow filled sheep and walking path across the stream, we also enjoyed staying in the Great Ayton village. Walked to pubs, a wonderful restaurant for special occasions, butcher shop, meat pies/pastry shop, fish & chips storefront, weekly fish truck, ice cream parlor .....we could have easily stayed another week. Although sparsely furnished, the cottage had all the amenities for a perfectly wonderful North Yorkshire stay.
